What was the very first browser you have used? And what browser are you currently using right now? What do you think is the difference between the old browser you used and the one you're using right now?

Im sure my first one was IE, then i used Firefox for a long time, then Opera for a few months, and since it came out Chrome.
I dont think i need to say how much better Chrome is compared to IE xD But i also really like Chromes simplistic design

I was always the IE guy. I used to know everything about IE, and at that time, it was just what people used. When I got my own laptop however, I began experimenting with all kinds of different browsers. For a long period of time I used Chrome because of it's speed and the fact that I had quite a nice skin installed :)
Recently I've been using Opera though. I really love the shortcuts in Opera, I use the keyboard shortcuts a lot, but what appealed the most to me was the beautiful Speed Dial screen. I really liked the old speed dial in Chrome before they put in a Google search thing on it, and this is essentially a prettier version of that old one :)
One thing I do miss though is the ability to quickly recover closed tabs when the entire windows has been shut down as well as the non-existent synchronizing...

I think it was Internet Explorer. I had soon discovered FireFox, though, and moved onto that pretty quickly. Now, I'm on Google Chrome, and am extremely satisfied with it. d:

Pretty sure I started with Internet Explorer 5 at some point, and I definitely remember using IE 5.1 on the Macs at my elementary school as well. It wasn't until 2008 when I went away from using IE to using Firefox. I eventually ditched FF for SeaMonkey, and then eventually Chrome, which has been my main browser since 2011.

I started with IE, then Netscape, then Firefox, then Chrome my baby which I still use today. Huuuge changes though I sometimes miss my FF days because I'd go crazy with the customization and such, aha. Now I just find one cute theme and stick with that for ages.

IE was during the times when I browsed Neopets and the cool thing was to have music on your user or pet profiles.. now mostly no one hears them because most browsers don't play music in those places.

Used Netscape Navigator when I went on the internet for the very first time. I never used IE before, but when using netscape I had the impression that our internet was very quick when using it :P

I then switched to Firefox and have been continuing to using it today.

First browser? Internet Explorer 6. Don't laugh - it was 2003 and we just got ourselves a working 56K connection, and there was pretty much no really usable alternative back then. Good times, especially after adding a certain Microsoft-provided toolbar (forgot whether it was MSN or Live) which brought tabbed browsing to IE6.

Right now I'm using Internet Explorer 11. Things sure have come a long way since then!

My first is definitely IE (when I get my first PC that time), and later I'm starting to use many variants of browsers until I decided to stay on Firefox, and I'm still using it regularly ever since.

Uhh... I think the very first internet browser that I used was AOL 3.0 back on our old Windows 95. The old dial-up sound brings back some memories, though I definitely don't miss it.

Right now I'm using whatever the newest version of Firefox is (have been since early 2012), with Google Chrome as my back-up browser.

Internet Explorer, I believe, was my first browser and now it's only used to download other browsers whenever I completely restart computers XD Before with Windows on my Macbook, I would often use Opera as my main, but now without that OS, I'm currently using Safari with Google Chrome only when things aren't working properly in the former.

IE for sure way back on a Windows 95 computer. I'd hate to know what version that IE was.

I'm now using Google Chrome so I don't think I need to explain why that's better. xD

Back in the day when I almost never had an internet connection I didn't bother with browsers in general meaning that I used the inbuild Internet Explorer (don't know which versions Win 95 had).

Now I'm using Firefox, because for me it's the most handy I could find (and I don't like Google Chrome).

First one I used was IE6. I use Firefox now, and I notice a lot of differences, like security, speed and how the website displays.

"Back in my day we didn't have the internet and had to look things up in books or write a letter to someone."
The first thing I ever used was either Internet Explorer or AOL. Now I use Google Chrome and it's a lot faster and safer. And I like the Incognito mode because if I do get some urges to look at something I don't have to worry about if a family member will see it in my history.
