    My first ever shiny was in Soul Solver! I was just running around and encountered a shiny Wooper; I was so shocked and excited!

    It never really scared me as a kid, but in comparison to the other games in the series, I'd say they're the creepiest. D/P/Pt are definitely a lot more atmospheric than the last games.

    Definitely Erika, I've always had a soft spot for grass types.

    Taillow is good imo, although you'd have trouble with it in the first gym. I'd suggest catching a Lotad or Shroomish for the first gym.
