nah, not gym leaders. I just like the game a lot more if you're raising a single type. Some players have an affinity to fire type (my friend) and thus raises like 3 dualtype fires. But feel free to have a fully all-rounded team. Rule type is more like 1 - 3 pokemon, handicap yes or no, etc. so...
