Bad news: the new demo for Fuso's Meteor is still not ready for release :/ Good news: I am putting the finishing touches to the last town of the demo. One more route, a ton of eventing, and then the conversion to v19.1 - then I will be ready for a closed beta release. 😁

I hated her (9), but I also thought it was kind of funny in its own right. At least it was a Medicham and not something unobtainable in the wild like Riolu. I wouldn't be surprised if in the remake they gave you Gengar. I mean, Gen 6 gave you Mega Lucario and the Latis well before the 7th gym.

In terms of bad tropes that are too common in Pokemon fangames: self-inserts. I never liked them, they almost always come off as cringey, it feels too out of place to self-insert in my own game, so I never do it.
