D/P stands for Diamond/Pearl. That's the style of textbox that is in my hack, and that's the patch I used. When you patch a file, make sure you're patching it correctly. It shouldn't turn out to be the same. I'll check to see if I have the patch still in my files, but I lost a lot of data so...

I didn't edit mine, I used a patch. You'd have to look in the ROM hacking resources thread

Wow, that pretty much means any ROM can be hacked nowadays as long as HEX and VBA are involved. That's awesome stuff you've found. Do you plan to make any tools for the game?
