Most of the time that's the save type, go to Options> Emulator> Save Type, and choose Flash, then click Flash 128k, should run alright. If that doesn't work, you need a different ROM, you need a clean copy of V1.0

To the person who asked, you get cut in the endless plains after defeating Pestilence. It's in the cave to the left (the endless plains, not the HM. Though I suppose the HM too since it's in the plains)

What you need is a clean Ruby ROM, a gameboy emulator (Visual Boy Advance seems to be the one that works best), the Snakewood patch, and something to apply the patch. I use Lunar IPS. Once you apply the patch, you just run the game in the emulator and there you go. Or if you have a gameboy flash...
