So I finally got them both, right at 16, it took a lot of battles, vitamins, etc etc. The only thing that bugs me is that trading them back to FireRed they are not mine originally.

Doesn't emerald also have animated sprites though? Personally I find animated sprites annoying in the sense that the gameplay is prolonged seeing how animation adds extra uneeded seconds to battles.

Definately, The only thing that can't play on a DS is Gameboy and Gameboy Color cartridges, GBA GameShark and Action Replay (don't quote me on this). And you can't use the link cable/wireless adapter(for gba). All GBA carts and GBA video carts work on DS and DS lite. :D Also everyone, Pokemon...
