Currently playing through the following games:

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2, since it got on Steam I had to replay it, although it no longer is the challenge it once was due to being too well versed in the genre :(

Elden Ring, playing co-op is suprisingly fun, haven't had a single temptation of throwing my controller in rage lmao

FFXIV, trying to finish Anabaseios Savage, might be done with P11S this week with a bit of luck.

    Terraria, mainly the Calamity mod.

    Elite Overlord LeSabre™

Just got done getting 100% achievements in Princess Peach Showtime (and considering that's the first platformer I've picked up in YEARS, that's no small feat.) Gonna finish the final route of the "ONE: Kagayaku Kisetsu e" visual novel before I dive into Unicorn Overlord as my next big game to tackle.

Oh, and in between the other games, I'm making random deliveries in American Truck Simulator - in my custom modded Peterbilt with Serena painted on the sides, lol

(Also loading Animal Crossing every few days for 5-10 minutes to keep the cockroaches out of my house)

I downloaded the Delta emulator app on my ipad so I have been playing a couple of games on there. (I have an old flashcart with a bunch of .nds files, so I'm just picking games from there to play) Aside from Pokémon games, I also downloaded LoZ Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass. I have never played a LoZ game (outside of the og NES version, which I haven't gotten very far in), so this is out of my wheelhouse. I don't play that many video games in general, I tend to play the same games over and over. However I am trying to branch out and play new games.

Aside from the emulator, I have been playing White 2 and Pokémon Dream Radar a lot recently since I've been coming up with a battle gimmick that requires a HA Ralts from the Dream Radar, so I can evolve it into a Gallade with Justified ability.

For some reason, I decided to hatch all the Pokemon Eggs I had stockpiled in 3-4 houses in Pokemon Wilds. Has taken me 2 entire days to do so far, with 5 shinies to show for it. The things I do when I have absolutely nothing productive to do...

    Spoiler: Results so far...

I haven't been gaming loads lately but I have started a new run of the romhack Crystal Ultimate recently, and occasionally on fortnite still, logged back into PoGo for the first time in months but still feels pretty slog-ish.

I did check out Animal Well a while ago on PS5 when it dropped as I heard a lot of buzz about it and it went straight into the PS Plus Extra library.

I've been sorta interested in Animal Well once I heard it was a Metroidvania-style game, but I've since heard that it isn't and it's more of an atmospheric puzzle game. Have you been enjoying however much you've played of it?

As for me, I just finished the first Crash Bandicoot today (Stormy Ascent included!), since my experience with the first Sly Cooper and the trilogy being in a recent sale got me to finally try it out.
Besides that, I'm still on my long-term grind in Final Fantasy XIV. Early access for Dawntrail is in a month from now and I'm beyond excited for it! I've got most of what I need for when the expansion launches and I've been thinking about it almost daily. Can't wait...

yeah I would say atmospheric puzzler defo fits it more, although undoubtedly with metroidvania elements. I did enjoy what I played of it but ended up not finishing it as I got frustrated with controls. (I probably just didn't figure it out correctly tbf) but the jumps were inconsistent which really annoyed me, so I'd often have to redo jumps I know I can make over and over because he doesn't always jumps as far as I know he can, again it's probably the way I'm inputting the jump, but as a game that doesn't show you anything and leaves you to figure things out on your own (which is honestly really cool through a lot of it) it frustrated me enough that rather than look up what was going on, I just stopped playing the game.

I've actually always wanted to get into FF14 but haven't yet! How would you recommend it?

Sounds interesting, I do think I'd like it then!

It's a lot of fun! It's the first and only MMO I've ever gotten into it but I've really enjoyed my time with it, especially as someone who enjoys long grinds in games. It's really accessible for new people because of the incredibly generous free trial and combat isn't too complicated so it's not hard to learn the basics. I started playing because I thought character creation was cool and heard I could be a catgirl, but you can basically do everything in the game on one single character like levelling every class or not worrying about quests or content being race- or character-specific. It does genuinely feel like it has something for everyone a lot of the time and there's still cool things I'm learning about it to this day after hitting (current) max level on basically every class and playing for about 3 years.
Opinions on the details vary heavily, but most people would say it takes a long time to get to the good parts. Common opinion is that the base game A Realm Reborn can be boring, but that later expansions are some of the best experiences in all of Final Fantasy. In my personal opinion, the game was good, but not great, until around the Level 60-70 range, where it felt like they were creating boss fights in a more engaging way, more classes started to unlock their better and cooler looking skills, and the story began to feel more compelling to me.
I think there's lots of content in the earlier levels that's still enjoyable and the game is still good before it gets to "the best parts", and that shouldn't scare you away! This is a great video about the topic if you're interested in learning more. Besides, the free trial includes over half the entire game for free. If you ask me, there's no reason why you shouldn't give it a shot. There's also the option to just purchase an item that lets you skip through the earlier parts of the story if you're interested, which I don't recommend, but is an option people should know about.

Project X Zone ! I wanted to play it since it was new but held off until playing nearly all of the games involved (including Namco X Capcom & all the games it crosses over too..) first, it's really cool to recognise all the references in the end. Ragnarok Online, .hack//Frägment and Phantasy Star Online too, I made a couple really good friends in the latter -- and reading through Never7 or re-playing Policenauts on my PSP whenever I'm not at my computer :p

@Setsuna thank you! I love the FF's I've played so hopefully I'd get into it! Not too into youtubers, especially long-form yap videos haha, so couldn't make it that far into the video! lol. It seems like quite the time sink tho, so I always feel like I have to wait til I have a fair amount of free time to properly dive into it! I would likely be playing on PS5 too, so I am curious how it plays there as an MMO!

    Persona 5 Royal/Thousand Year Door.

Plan to try Fallout 4 or Witcher 3 next. (likely the latter). Or Cuphead.
fallout 4 and cuphead are super fun! Cuphead is great co-op too!
