2nd Gen Are there any glitches to evolve Haunter on Crystal & Yellow on my own (on the 3DS Virtual Console versions)?

While I do have two 3DS consoles, I'm hoping to avoid having to buy the games multiple times on multiple devices just to evolve the one Pokémon that I really want. Are there any workarounds on Pokémon Crystal and Pokémon Yellow?

Not to my knowledge, but there are ways to generate any Pokémon, like the Celebi Egg Glitch or Coin Case Glitch. As with any glitch, however, there can be consequences if not executed to perfection.

EDIT: You can also encounter Gengar in Yellow via Mew Glitch.
