What is one of your favorite quotes?

    "Poverty is not purity."
    - David Bowie

As an artist, that quote means a lot to me because it reminds me that I don't need to suffer to create good work. That I don't need to be at rock bottom to create the most profound art. And that the cliche of the 'starving artist' isn't at all indicative of the value of 'good' art.

I'm a Pre-Raphaelite and believe in art for art's sake. That creation doesn't need to be a reflection of reality but a reflection of one's interpretation of reality. David Bowie puts that philosophy very succinctly.

    When are you happiest?
Lots of times! Like opening a fresh TCG booster pack or getting new pencils or just cuddling! I try not to take any moment for granted.
What's your favorite pastime activity when you can't do art?
Video games for sure, haha. Next to that probably reading and trolling PC.
Would you want to get another tattoo? (I saw your Sylveon tattoo in the fairy club and I think it's really cool)
Hell yeah! I'd definitely get more Fairy Pokémon tattoos, or even just regular fae folk tattoos. A pride tattoo for sure.. my sober date.. the day my mom died.. man I can think of so many haha. Right now my biggest fantasy tattoo would be a Dreadqueen Rathian from Monster Hunter.
    Spoiler:

What are some of your gaming moments you treasure?

How do you balance trolling and modding on PC?

I'm an obsessive gamer and achievement hunter so I'm more likely to put 300 hours into one game than play 6, but I still have so many moments that I value so much. Like way way back in the day when I first played LOZ: Ocarina of Time and I FINALLY beat the Deku Tree and got out of the Kokiri forest! It took me years to do that, lmfao. Reaching Hunter Rank 420 in Monster Hunter (I'm 734 now but it was still a big deal for the meme!). Not shitting my pants while playing Resident Evil 2 for the first time. When I bought Skyrim for the first time on the PlayStation and couldn't run it so I went out and purchased an Xbox JUST to play it but ended up spending most of my time decorating the Solitude house with every unique item — and then saving and quitting and having every item I placed explode so hard around the rooms that it crashed my game for the next 50 times I tried to boot it up. I put like 400 gems into every bowl I could find and BOY did those things fly. And then doing it again. And again when I got Skyrim on the Switch. Collecting all the Crystal Shards in Kirby 64. Beating co-op Portal 2 with my fiancé. The GODLY hitbox porn moments of Bloodborne. Midnight game launches at Game Stop. First Pearlescent weapon in Borderlands. Mashing X through the microwave scene of Metal Gear Solid 4 and sobbing the whole way. Breaking 2500 hours in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Actually sitting through the needle eyeball scene in Dead Space 2 without looking away. And obviously the first time I beat the Elite Four and my first shiny Pokémon! I could go on but those are just some moments that aren't like getting "play of the game" that are special for me. (´▽`ʃƪ)♡

Well, I guess I don't really troll PC. I meant it more like:
Ask and I'll tell all my secrets

But I'm not unfamiliar with being deliberately silly and obtuse!

What is favorite monster to hunt, your least favorite one to hunt, and why?

Well, you trolled me at the least. But thanks for clarifying! :D

Do you like multiplayer in video games? Do you have a group of people you like playing with?

Keep what I need and donate the rest. Maybe take a trip or two, Japan or Spain.. but otherwise I live modestly and I don't need a lot. I've no desire for a faster car or a bigger house (people would just expect me to have kids then and lol NOPE). I'd like to take care of the people around me who are struggling.. my dad and his girlfriend, what's left of my immediate family.. I'd make sure my grandmother-in-law would get the best care for the rest of her life. I'd help pay off my friend's student debts. I'd donate to charities for trans youth, drug prevention, women's sexual health services, and no-kill animal shelters. Maybe set myself up with some awesome art stuff.

Favorites are tied between Hellblade Glavenus, Nargacuga, and Dreadqueen Rathian. Lease favorite is Yian Garuga, any variant. Hate that dumb bird.

Well, technically it's not my secret to tell.. But someone out there knows it!
I recall you acknowledging the genius of Stanley Kubrick.

What Kubrick films have you seen, and which is your favorite?
Ah, I love Kubrick! It's hard to pick a favorite! I LOVED Full Metal Jacket.. that one is rank very high. A Clockwork Orange is a horror classic, along with The Shining, both wonderful. A Space Odyssey intertwines perfectly with my fanatical love of David Bowie.

Spartacus and Lolita I was not as big a fan of, but still you gotta acknowledge them as the great films they are. And lastly Dr. Strangelove! Which is just a dang rollercoaster lmao.

My main multiplayer game right now is Monster Hunter. I do have a group, both in the form of a club here on PC and a separate guild that I'm a part of (though.. I'm kinda cheating on them..). But hell yeah I enjoy playing with them and all the randoms along the way! Shout out to Fenrir, Lilly, Thinman, and Grandpaw!

I was also a competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee player back in the day. Never got good enough to make a real name for myself but won local tournaments. Got to shame a lot of boys who insisted on testing me and didn't believe some chick could *gasp* wavedash. I was a Fox (actually to troll), Sheik, Roy (loved my red-headed step-clone of Marth lol), and Peach main. I do have Ultimate though and have enjoyed a few matches.. but it's just not the same.

And while I'm on hiatus right now, I hustle real hard in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I run a Nookazon account with over 100 five star ratings selling rare DIY recipes and play heavy in the turnip market. Not exactly 'competitive' but still multiplayer!

    Hi Jo <3

So... first question is, if there are some particular color palettes or combinations that inspire you more than others - or if you have any tips on choosing one in general! and second, are you a sporty person? do you practice any sport / physical activity of sorts?

    hey luv!

Yes actually! A pastel rainbow, like the one used in my flair and profile always make me smile and encourages me to make more! But I also really enjoy purple to yellow palettes and dark cyan to pink palettes like the ones below! I use a pixel art color ramp creator and it's fantastic!

And I used to be, haha. As of right now I just generally work out and take lots of walks nowadays. But I'm a black belt in karate! Back in my youth I was very active in the karate scene and went rather far with it! I was teaching my own classes, competing in regional tournaments for kumite and kata, and even got an invite to travel to Okinawa!

But uh.. I got more horror stories about my karate days than I have good memories of being sporty and active. Dojo was super abusive and I was too young to know better. :(

Thank you for all the info~ And I'm sorry to hear about your karate days, that sounded like a terrible place even in spite of all your accomplishments!

    Uh... I might have one more question though... how do I get gud at VPP? No really I'm doing terribly with updating it and I actually think I haven't touched in months... ;-;
    Thanks Jo 😇

I think you said on here to me you also have C-PTSD or PTSD? May I ask how you are doing with having it and how you overcome your struggles with living with it daily? Unless it's not a problem anymore and you're doing really well managing it , if so any tips? Since I'm currently in therapy for it to beat it and not let it bother me and effect my life anymore. If this question is too personal you don't have to answer I was just curious since no one understands me, and have no one to really talk too about it as well. Since I have C-PTSD and my family are trying hard to understand/help me though don't get it really and think it's not a big deal, there not educated on it really.

My therapist is also talking to them about it in order to help me too.
