    Does Pokemon crystal save after you choose your starter? Please help me I'm new to the game. Can you put your answer down in the comments because I need help in Pokemon crystal. Someone can you guys help me I'm trying to get a shiny starter in Pokemon Crystal. Someone help me with this.

    The game only saves when you choose to save. Autosaves didn't become a thing until the most recent pair of games.
