    oh no, can we give it to HBO instead? they managed to save His Dark Materials

    I will say that I loved Detective Pikachu and thought they did it amazingly. But generally, pokemon is fantastical enough to just do better in animated form. Traditionally animated, even - I don't like 3D-variants either.

    I can't see them making a mainstream anime to live action series ( would be great if they could pull that off ) but think it will be some thing else maybe a detective pikachu series or something along those lines, would give it a go either way
