    In the games, yes. Allows any standard Pokemon to be an Alpha in VPP, though, including ones not in Legends: Arceus. Likely saved time on looking up the sizeable list of Legends: Arceus Pokemon. (Kept Nobles restricted to the ones in-game, if you are wondering, due to only being five Pokemon.) Could have also seen Alphas as not particularly unique to those Pokemon, for the same reason as allowing any Pokemon to have a Tera type, not just Paldean ones.

    (Disclaimer: Was not a VPP moderator when Alphas were introduced. Could be incorrect on those reasons. Never played Legends: Arceus either.)

    Sure. I don't have a Weavile yet at all and it's in season =3
    I'll post my half shortly.

    I think we're done with the Marnie challenge yes, never added it to my stats. Kinda waiting for work to quiet down so I can actually take my time and overhaul my stats to make them editable again lol

    You can encounter both Johto Sneasel and Weavile in the distortions. They can be Alphas, you just got a very small chance of that actually happening.

    Fares okay, per usual, personally. Recovered from a Christmas cold not long ago. Dislikes the emerging trend of dodging Covid from someone else in the home at the start of December and getting a cold later in the month. Half-expects to need to dodge the flu in February again. Caught the lesser of the illnesses, at least.

    Hating life because of the fact that I got a really bad case of the flu for Christmas this year after getting COVID for Christmas the year before. Right now I'm working on getting my hearing back because I'm pretty sure it's from coughing so hard when I was sick.

    Avalugg: Has a Weavile available for this. Has not raised Gallade, Machamp, Lucario, Glalie, and Electabuzz yet. (Lacks a lot of choices on this one. Would not mind a second Froslass)

    Lilligant: Could turn in Skuntank and Toxicroak for this. Never raised a Lickilicky, Roserade, Whiscash, Tangrowth, Vespiquen, or Ursaluna before.

    hmmm... I did raise Mega Gallade, but I don't have normal Gallade yet.
    Don't have Machamp and Electabuzz at all yet.
    Don't have Chimecho yet, but you do.

    Got 2 Glalie and Mega Glalie and only 1 Froslass, so I'd rather do a second Froslass instead of a Glalie.
    I already raised 2 Lucarios so preferably no Lucario.

    Neither of us has Gallade, Machamp and Electabuzz. Could go with Gallade with Psychic being in season?
    Or a Froslass if we want to stick with in season mons.

    Agrees on Gallade. Always likes getting the seasonal discount whenever able. After that, perhaps Froslass. May be simplest to grab the sixth Alpha for Noble Avalugg solo, given what each other has. Shrugs. Deals with that later, at any rate.

    Finished Alpha Gallade. Do you want to do Alpha Froslass next for the seasonal discount? Could do Alpha Electivire early instead of the duplicate Froslass too. Will not be in-season for some time.

    When asking to obtain a pokemon, is it possible to narrow to a category?
    Like, I've seen some people ask for "surprise me" and that idea appeals to me. But would it be possible to say something like "Any starter pokemon" or "any dog pokemon"? I like the idea of a surprise within certain limits, but I don't want to make unnecessary or annoying work for the mods.

    Does not mind that, personally, provided the category is clear (like the above). Could run into a problem with, say, "a Pokemon I don't have" and a person with a lot of VPPs. Cannot speak for the other moderators, though.
