How important is it for you to be liked by others?

I'm not necessarily talking about being popular. That being said, how much importance do you put into the approval of others? Does it bother you when you find out that someone doesn't like you because of your personality or something along those lines? How many people would have to dislike you before you started to feel insecure about yourself?

Have you encountered people who didn't like you even if you didn't wrong them in any way? How did you react to their judgement of you?

I know it's unreasonable to expect everyone to like you, but at the same time nobody likes it when someone makes their displeasure with you apparent if you didn't do anything harmful to anyone.

I like to know what people think of me so I can improve as a human. Sure it drives me insane and gets me in a even more unstable situation but that's just how I live. I want to be considered average, by other people, and not know as "oh it's THAT kid."

I don't care as long as I got accepted by at least a small group of friends. What others think, is their opinion, as long as they don't bother me by openly expressing they don't like me, I can just live my life as I want.

I used to care but now if it's someone that I just met or something I could really care less. I mean, if they don't like me for who I am then I'm not going to bother trying to change their opinion or anything. If it's someone like a coworker who I have to work with I'll put up with it but I'm not going to change who I am for them.

Thankfully, I can't really think of anyone off the top of my head that doesn't like me. Of course, maybe my level of care is making mejust forget about those people haha.

I honestly don't care if someone doesn't like me. We live in a society where people are judgmental of others, and people hate one another for no apparent reason or for very petty bs. A majority of the people who don't like me, have the mentality they're better than everybody so why should I care? If you give off the vibe thinking you're better than me then I just ignore you. If someone doesn't like me for who I am I just shrug it off and move on. You can't be liked by the whole population, so I don't stress someone not liking me. I'm outgoing and laid back so chances are the next persons gonna like me lol.

I don't know many people who hate me really. Some people are pretty annoying sometimes, but at the end of the day, they're just friends messing around with you. People usually hate hate me only when I act like a douche, but I'm generally an O.K person. (Well in my opinion at least)

Join the club. It's a terrible quality to have in my opinion, just because I really wish that wasn't the case and I didn't care as much. Admittedly I've put myself into some bad funks because I cared so much what others thought, which is incredibly stupid to say the least.

If anyhing, I'm working on changing that.

I guess it does bother me if it feels like someone dislikes me for no reason, especially if it's someone I could get along with otherwise. For the most part I don't like feeling like anybody hates me, and best I feel I can do there is just to try to get them to change their mind about me (without being annoying about it). Otherwise I end up leaving it be and end up writing it off as a "personality clash". Maybe can be changed in the future, but for the present it's not worth the stress on my end.

Now, if this is just the occasional person, then in the long run it doesn't bother me too much aside from it being an annoying "but why?" question in my mind. If I were to notice a trend of people disliking me, though, then I would start seriously looking at myself as to why I keep getting disliked, then try to better myself and get rid of that reason (since I feel it would be beyond just a mere clash of personalities by that point). Because if I feel like I'm hated...well. Definitely no happy days for me there.

it's like an annoyance for me more than anything. In the past I've had people not like me just because of how I looked and I guess being so young at the time I took it hard, but nowadays I kind of see it like wow how shitty of a person can you be?

I wish I could say that I could care less, because that's really my initial reaction. But given about a day or two after something happens/someone says they dislike/disapprove of whatever that I've done or whatever, I start getting all depressed and go out of my way to get back on their good side regardless of if I like and/or know them or not.

A Thing..... like okay hear me out. if you're just gonna do stupid shit all the time and then excuse it / shrug it off by saying "I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING!!!" well you're still doing stupid shit in the first place and that's bad. okay I'm not sure I'm making sense. this does make sense in my head. I dunno. so basically I do put stock in others' opinions of me and use them to better myself, but if it's something that's fundamentally me then I'm obviously not going to change it because one person thinks differently of it.
