Preferable of the straw hat crew, but I can live with Ace or any other secondary character like that. So long as they're good guys. I... don't think you can blame me when I say that I didn't spend too much time looking. :x I think it was a female variant of Buggy, but to be perfectly honest, I couldn't tell you with any certainty. It's a labor of love, I'll tell you that much. n_n; I'm so proud of those guys though. They have really gone above and beyond to make it something really special. I wish I could do even more for them.

And also, "yes" to the comic if Shanks is sleeping. Big, emphatic, overwhelming "no" if Shanks is dead. That would also imply that OP ends which, once again, is a big no. :[ OP can't end. ONE PIECE IS FOREVER.
