Yeah the MAIN reason to upgrade is the new 3d, and the pokemon games don't even make use of it. The faster processor and extra buttons are nice but honestly the 3d is the reason to upgrade. Nintendo is eventually going to make games that only work on the new one but they are considering the new 3ds to be a "sidegrade" as opposed to an upgrade so that's not going to happen for awhile.

And honestly I'd wait a week or two. Things sort of worked out that I cant get it for another week or two just because it's still at that annoying point where no stores have them and everyone online wants an additional 50-100 bucks for it. So wait for the second wave of them to ship out you know?


It's a very nice upgrade but the enhanced performance isn't worth a hassle I don't think. It's an upgrade that can be held off on for a little while.

My friend got it, it's what made me decide on it. I made a mistake and sold my 3DS on ebay and now I have to ship it, but now I have to wait for that money to clear before I can get it so I'll be 3ds'less for almost 2 weeks. It's amazing though, the 3d works the way it should of on the original. The face tracking 3d works very well and it's noticeably faster.


I'm reformatting my 3ds now for the buyer, so maybe we can keep in contact and arrange a trade whenever I get the new one? Just keep in mind it might be 2 weeks or so ^^;
