  • Hello fellow LGBTS (any more letters and that would have looked like random mashing o_O) and hacker :3
Since you said you were, but refuse to accept it, I think you're at a crossroads between denial and semi-acceptance. If you need someone to talk to I'm right hear though :3

Windows 7. The colors aren't the same. The one you posted has desaturated colors.

Look I'm tired of dealing with this, if you're still interested in helping, come back when you have Paint...

You're screwing up the colors somehow. I use Paint. I think I've said that like 9999 times by now...
Don't even bother doing anything until you can use Paint. Unless if you can find a program that won't desaturate the colors and won't anti-aliase when you shrink something. There's no point in working on something I can't use.

And cleaning up is much easier with Paint, because it won't apply anti-aliasing when you shrink something, so you only have the colors you started with. And don't worry about shiny sprites, I'll do them myself, since people seem to have completely different sprite sources from me (I get all my sprites from Veekun, which directly rips them from the game)
Um. Yeah don't use that program. Sorry, the only program I want people using is Paint. So I can't accept anything until you find a program that won't mess up my colors and won't do the anti-analyses (or whatever its called) when you shrink it. Cleaning up is much easier if you use Paint.
I don't care if it's the same size as R/S/E Grovyle. I still think it looks too big. Lots of Gen III Pokemon look a bit too big in R/S/E IMO, especially Roselia. Roselia is actually a really tiny Pokemon, but it's sprite it's official sprite in the Gen III games is waaaaay too big. (Treecko's B/W sprite is significantly smaller than Treecko's R/S/E sprite! And the B/W sprite limit is 96x96!)

And I have 2 other people helping me, so you and the two others are the "sprite cleanup" guys. Besides me of course XD.

Oh and there's another problem I noticed with Grovyle. The backsprite doesn't appear to be resized exactly 80%, either that or you cut off lines of pixels from the bottom. All backsprites should be resized 80%, and do not cut off pixels from the bottom. Just because the backsprites in the 4th Gen games go into the textbar doesn't mean I want to do that with my hacks, I have my own reasons for why that I don't feel like explaining.

    Next task:

    Remember:
*Use ONLY the sprites I post
*Backsprite should ALWAYS be resized to 80%
*DO NOT shave off lines of pixels from the bottom of the backsprite.
*I trust that you have good enough judgement to guess how much you should resize Alakazam's front sprite
*It would be best if you just used plain old MS Paint for the spritework (I use Paint for EVERYTHING), since whatever program you're using seems to be desaturating the colors for some reason.
Yes, that is certainly better. When I have time I'll analyze it more, but from what I can see it looks just fine (though the front sprite may be a tad too big), and the colors are desaturated for some reason (yes they are, I checked), but I can easily re-color it back. I'll provide you with another sprite to clean up when I'm not being lazy.
You need to improve the outlining. The leaf thing on Grovyle's head looks really bad because it has really jaggy/not-smooth outlines.

(and did you desaturate the color palette or something?)
I don't have a problem with using B/W front sprites. I have a problem with using B/W backsprites. You could easily recolor the HGSS Grovyle backsprite to match the palette of the B/W front sprite.
If you actually looked at my project, you would have noticed that I'm using HGSS backsprites, so I can't accept Grovyle. And please don't just choose any random Pokemon, because I've already decided which exact sprite I want to resize for all 649 Pokemon. Ask me first.
Can you at least post an example of your sprite work then? I can't let people help unless they know how.
Heh, and as a side note, I noticed you all do this very late at night. Just sayin'

Because time zones. For me, you're posts have been around 11PM to 4AM.
