  • Occasionally, but I don't play competitively since I don't keep up with Pokémon. I don't really enjoy it either since most of the time I don't know what is happening ;.;
They are supposed to be substituted for valid numbers. rX for example represents a register from r0 onwards.
Sorry. My bad. I thought you were actually talking about in-game regional maps. XD
Whatever do you want to import first. It makes no difference. Hmm... editing tilemaps for FR and EM are almost the same.
"By the way, you wouldn't happen to have HGSS, PT or BW tilesets by any chance, would you?"... possibly...
Hmm, the gdb is used for debugging afaik, not disassembling. Did you open the right idb?
You are making a hack right? I'm a bit nosy. ;p I noticed you looking into hacking the title screen, among one or two other things.
They are both valid. You cannot use ldr on high registers, however. The higher registers can't be used for some commands, but the general purpose ones, as their name states, are general purpose.
Thats a good start. Next you should try a custom givepokemon or giveegg script.
    8B3 - Eon Ticket
    8E0 - Mystic Ticket
    8D5 - Aurora Ticket
    8D6 - Old Sea Map
    yea its 8d5
Lol if it makes you feel better I couldn't even script a plain ol' talk script when I first started. So don't worry you will figure it out soon.
    Not really.
The device I'm trying to create. is similar in some points.
But it will be interconnected with several points of the game.
What why the interest? just to know!
Yes and nos are kinda weird.
The way it needs to be setup is something along these lines:
    Spoiler:
Yeah, you can use an absolute path for the ROM too if you want. Otherwise the ROM should be in the engine folder. Keep in the mind that the engine is hardly stable, so you might not want to add it to a hack - I believe there are bugs with the OW expander. Otherwise make a patch before and after you apply so you can easily remove it should problems arise.
I don't think so..... But I think whats not listed is listed in the scripting tutorials scattered around the forums.
Well a majority of the scrripting commands are fairly useless. But XSE has a built in list of commands and what they do. If you click f1 it will pull it up.

Yea I'm not sure how people manage to find where everything is listed in the ram, but most of the pokemon related ones you should look at the evolution method threads.
You just modify the config.ini and then run the script. At the moment its fairly complicated for a newbie (you need to configure it to use DevKitARM), but unfortunately I don't really have the time to fix it. A GUI is really low down on my to-do list, as it just takes away time I could be spending on features and other projects.
