I like your attitude, it's exactly what I'm looking for. It'll definitely inspire you, I think, and push you to the right direction. Personally, it has taught me a lot of things, both as a writer and a person, things which I've channeled into this RP and I'm hoping the players besides me would do so as well.
Oh, this is a good question. Let me tell you, I first watched One Piece when I was around 8 years old, but since I'm living in Greece, the dubs here are poor - not quality wise, quantity wise. What usually happens is, they don't have enough funds to translate and dub the entire anime and continue to translate it as it is being released, so what they do is dub it season by season, and very slowly. Resulting in only say 150 of the 300 and counting episodes having been translated, even years after the rest 150 have been released. The TV shows the episodes that have been already dubbed, but once they run out of dubbed episodes, they go back to episode 1 and just work their way up to what they've dubbed. When they do it for several years straight, it gets tiring to watch the same stuff over and over. To make it worse, our TV couldn't receive signal from the channel that played One Piece, so I could only watch when I was at my grandma's. So I just dropped the show.
When I watched the first episode, I loved it. I loved everything about it: the premise, the characters, the plot, the drawings. I instantly knew it was something that I'd have to watch in its entirety, and at my own pace. But because of the problems I mentioned, I just dropped it and said, maybe another time and forgot about it. So after having discovered the glory of the internet, sometime it popped back in my mind and I'm like, I have to watch this right now. Also, I was going through some tough times then and I figured I could use all the fun I could get, and One Piece hit the mark with that one. If it wasn't for One Piece, I wouldn't want to remember those times at all.
