thats true, and I love using the cute baby pokemon. But I just couldn't get into it.

When we do our battle, do you want to use Alola pokemon only? Ill propose some rules and if you like them, awesome:

-Alola pokemon, Alolan form pokemon, and pokemon with special Z-moves (ex: Pikachu and Snorlax) only (new pokemon; might as well use them!)
-No Ultra Beasts or Legendaries, except the island deities (to prevent super powerful pokemon)
-best out of 3
-singles format (you prefer it)
-I automatically win :P

I dont like OU, LC, or Ubers. I legit can't stand them haha. I dont like OU or Ubers because I dont enjoy uber powerful pokemon (though tiering is relative) that are, well, over-used. Also I dont like using legendaries. And LC I could never understand and I dont like the weird items, IV's, and low HP's. just a preference.

UU was my thing back in the day. I had an unbeatable team. Only lost once due to hax in the final match of a tournament. And it had no mega! NU, RU, or UU are my favorite depending on how i feel. Sometimes I really love VGC as well, but the use of legendaries frustrates me.

if it got priority, I could see it in RU. It will probably be damned to NU.

What tiers are your favorite?

I could see one playing mind games with Stake Out, but Gumshoos isn't exactly a good revenge killer because of its low speed. Like it wont be forcing anything out as easily as it would with a better speed stat, so you would have to play Stake Out really well to make full use of it.

Of course this just a theory... I would have to test that conjecture by actually playing or looking at other pokemon trainers to really know if its good or not.

I also really like Gumshoos, but it has next to no defense and speed, but has a good attack state and great abilities. Adaptability and Strong Jaw are really good for it!

should we attach an event tag to it too?

darn... i really love Lycanroc. But I'm not surprised because it has terrible coverage and has terrible typing... plain rock is a trash defensive typing. But an okay offensive typing because it can hit flying and fire types.

I'm already kinda theorymonning. Midday Lycanroc has priority and Z swords dance.... might be a decent sweeper with its base 112 speed and 115 attack. I want to start so bad, but spoilers lol.

The lack of talk between us recently disturbs me.

We really should battle! I love battling.

But i want to finish Sun first... i dont want to see any pokemon I haven't seen in my game yet on Showdown lol. Also the chats may contain a lot of spoilers even if I'm not in the S/M chat. (I'm assuming there is or will be one).

i also want to create like 1 halfway decent team with some practice. I have a feeling you'll have a natural advantage considering I haven't battled competitively in a while and you are more familiar with the Alola pokemon.

What style do you prefer? Ill do singles or doubles.
