Yeah Ash is Slowbro incarnate. Ironic how he mocked Misty's Psyduck for being "slow".

Yet in the Summer camp Episodes in Sinnoh(and again in Kalos), Ash wasn't such an imbecile compared to what he is in Sun and Moon. Heck his Black&White incarnation frankly wasn't this bad. It also shows a clear lack of acknowledgement by the writers of previous series/regions when Ash has seen this(Poke Ping-Pong) before back in Sinnoh and has commented about past experiences(such as Dawn's Piplup when they go to an Aquarium in the Kalos region). It also riled me a bit that Ilima had no recollection of Ash in Kalos despite him being there. Now its entirely possible they were there at different times but considering the events of the previous series... I seriously doubt that.

To be honest, Ash got treated like crap in this Episode. I think Mallow and Lana and even Kiawe got treated better but that's just me. I think it was a missed opportunity in that I thought Mallow and especially Lana should have entered the Tournament and it would have been interesting had Lana and Ilima met in the final round as opposed to that guy with the Mienshao. Could have had Lana win it to give her some character development by demonstrating that when she gets into her competitive zone, she's nearly impossible to beat.

So Episode 66 comes and goes without anything of importance. Pure filler with a missed opportunity to highlight the neglected characters like Mallow and Lana. Ends up being another Ilima Episode with several subtle(and not so subtle) references to other shows/Anime. Also looks like Ilima won't be coming back for awhile, if at all(which would be a shame if he doesn't come back due to his significance in the games).

That's what I'm thinking, or an old one that hasn't been used. Apparently the person that swiped my old name left to another site already so I'll waiting 4 years to get it :V

Running out of time to hit 50k for your PC anniversary. What odds would you put on the Female cast on SM to go without another capture, much less evolution? 100:1? Would be unthinkable but based on the track record, I wouldn't be surprised one bit.
