    Without editing the ROM? I don't think so, no.

    As for the emulator, yeah, that might be the cause. People keep getting weird issues with John GBA, so I'd suggest you to use MyBoy! instead. Maybe you'd have better luck with that. It's my go-to GBA emulator for Android.

    No idea. Things just worked on my end all the way up to the Orange Archipelago, so I don't know what to tell you.

    Which emulator are you using to play the hack?

    Are you sure that you're playing on a clean savefile using the latest version of the hack (Beta 15.4) specifically?
