I'm afraid not...I've not battled since Gen IV. I don't generally play Pokemon titles after I've beaten the Elite Four these days; I have too much else to play and I am rather ignorant of the current metagame...plus breeding for IVs etc. is something I have never had the patience for. Plus, PvP...I loathe PvP, in all forms. Sorry. xD

Well, it doesn't have to be black-and-white...you can have a positive, insightful discussion with someone who has a different perspective to your own, even if that perspective is...bleak, let's say. I think what would determine someone as an antagonist in life would be if they simply couldn't accept your point of view or differences...and that's on them, really. More in the way they communicate something, rather than what they're trying to say. That's just me, though...I'm used to people disagreeing with me so I don't really care anymore if they do or not. xD

We can talk about whatever you'd like to, within reason. I can't promise I'll have a huge amount to say on some stuff, buuut...eh. xD

I'd say more surprising than scary, but I guess I've just gotten to used to that kind of reaction? idk. I find villains and antagonists are often the most interesting characters to me though; I love exploring their motivations...and you can't have a compelling plot or character development without someone standing in opposition, right? I think the same could be said of life in general, too.

Yeah, I don't think the fandom has ever really died online. I was more into YGO at the time of Gen III so I'm not sure how busy it was, but Gen IV it got crazy with the advent of online battling and trading. I'm not really sure how it is now, as Gen IV was the last gen I really enjoyed and felt a genuine connection with.

I think the traffic of forums is primarily dictated by the new releases...I think we might see a lot of more casual/newer players of Pokemon joining here towards the end of the year because of the Let's Go titles, and maybe next year we might see some older fans returning again. Not much to talk about with franchises if they're not putting out new stuff, right? With a lot of places people will be more or less active depending on school and the like, too. My activity is kinda dependant on what video games I'm playing and how into them I am. xD

I'm generally open to talking to whoever wants to talk to me, although I don't initiate conversation much myself these days for various reasons.

Well, I think the important thing would be that it matters to you, right? Other people are going to do/think/say whatever they want to, regardless of who it might hurt or offend. But other people's perceptions and/or their negativity towards something should by no means impact your own enjoyment or perception of it! Although it's difficult sometimes, especially if you're in the minority for something. But yeah...people who try to police your thoughts are the ones at fault, not you.

The craze was kinda coming to an end around the time of Gen III for me (probably because we'd all started Secondary School and wanted to be "more mature" or whatever else) and I had to keep my interest secret all throughout it, haha. Pokemon got VERY dramatic when I was in school though, mostly because of the cards, which actually got banned because of the fights that broke out over them. Digimon was a pretty big thing just before Gen III too, although that faded out when Adventure 02 finished. Have you been watching Tri? I'm waiting for the dub to finish before I watch it. I still play the games though! Survive is looking pretty good thus far :3

People here are fairly easygoing I've found, save for one or two...most people who say I was one of those people who aren't, because I'm highly opinionated and often in the minority with my views, haha. I have no experience with Serebii although I know of its reputation and have no particular desire to join there. LV is quite a nice forum, but pretty quiet compared to here. But yeah, you'll find plenty of people who share your appreciation~

The worst drama I can put up with is drama from my own self.

Other peoples drama isn't nearly as bad as my own.

So I really gotta relax. Plus, I even told some people here I stopped being a drama queen. Why prove that wrong? Really, I have nothing to feel upset over. Its just....not worth it.

Yeaaaaah...I tend to avoid fandoms and shipping in general, because the ones that insist that these things are absolute canon are pretty toxic. The Precure fandom on Tumblr was an absolute nightmare around the time Smile was airing in particular, and YGO shipping was horrific around the time of 5Ds. Best to just enjoy a show and characters the way you want to, right?

I'm guessing you got into Pokemon around Gen III, maybe? The Advanced seasons never aired on TV I could watch back then, and Pokemon was going out of fashion at that point too, so for me it was a pretty bad gen, haha. Time - and worse gens - has softened my view of it somewhat though :o
