  • Heys, hows things? I fixed my profile. XD; everyone's can relax. :3
Sorry I couldn't get on MSN, don't have it up here. :P
Though the key difference between all RTS games is the "toys" (units and buildings and resources) you get to play around with. Like Empire Earth's late game has an Atomic Bomber plane.
I thought Warhammer 40k's RTS games were similar in style to most RTSes, but I've never played them.
I still very much liked their RTS games. Basic gameplay for every RTS game is pretty standard across the board: build the economy fast so it can support your miltary.
That's not a knock on Empire Earth, though, I still found it and its sequel a lot of fun (its sequel even has territories).
Starcraft and Warcraft are more highly regarded than Empire Earth, which is basically just Age of Empires with some updated mechanics and considerably more diverse ages. You'll probably have better luck finding a cheap copy of AoE 2 at a brick-and-mortar store like Wal-Mart or Target (I usually see a copy or two on the shelf of the PC games section of either - usually buried in the Nancy Drew games).

Civilization 4 is TBS, not RTS. But it wouldn't be a bad place to start.
I own it, haven't really played it (got it for really cheap). Though I personally recommend some older ones (three of them basically being classics in the genre) like Age of Empires 2, Starcraft, Warcraft, and Empire Earth.
I was a bit overwhelmed with how many contacts I had, and at the same time felt kind of uncomfortable with some of my contacts who were speaking with me because they were being mean to me so I was like the **** with this and deleted my MSN. ;__; Here is my MSN: [email protected]
I've been coming on every few days just lurking and such. I don't really have plans to stay for a while, but I do want to say Happy New Years (late)! How are you doing? Also, I actually deleted my MSN but I do have a new one, so if you want to speak there again that would be awesome! I have a new laptop too! :3
