Lycanthropy

Well, as I said, a character that could change into real animals would best be a human mage that's like a skinwalker. I think an artifact that could change one into an animal is a bit strong to start with, but I know a great place to have your character obtain such an artifact.
I'd start writing your SU at the species part then, and send it to me on skype. I can see a wereboar working different from a werewolf.


I still have one left, but the others went good, I think. Which means I'm hopefully done with high school after next wednesday.

Yup! I've been having exams for all of my subjects these past two weeks. I still have another one on Monday but after that I can sit back and relax. At the moment it's like 'AAA STUDY' as I try to review flash cards and surf PC at the same time. oops :D

OH, haha. Sorry my bad! I agree, the books were heaps better in terms of being easier to get into. I always thought fantasy was pretty popular though - Lord of the Rings and Narnia for instace. At least for kids / young adults, It's like 'WHOA MAGIC COOL' or at least for me it was.

I KNOW. I've been stuck in queues behind people eating the most delicious food and I'm like 'asdfgkl; must not reach out my hand' and it becomes torture just waiting for the ride. Granted that I'm not very brave when it comes to all the stuff they offer anyway. Rollercoasters or high drops - "Mum where's the bathroom?!" We were at Disneyland Paris a while back and Hollywood Tower of Terror looked like the scariest thing on the planet. As for rides I like pretty much everything else! Water slides especially.

Apparently! I just googled if laser tag was an actual sport and BOOM world championships. And sure you can - just do an awkward barrel roll and yell 'pew pew' whilst trying to fire. You'll be the coolest kid in town if you do. ;]

Oh sounds cool! I've seen it played on the Big Bang Theory but nothing in real life is how it is on that show so I don't know if I have the right idea about the game. (I PROBABLY DON'T) I'd play it sometime though - RPGs are amazing.

Yeah that's what I was thinking! I could probably see how far walking, taking a train can get me but it's probably a good idea to learn how to drive. Gotta go fast, yoo.

Pfft, I only play them when the game forces me to! They're really zzz but learning the basics save your friends from going 'o__O' when you play with them. I like trying stuff out too but I usually end up dying so WOOPS.

Like the book, I had 'A Series Of Unfortunate Events' in these past weeks. To start from the beginning - I had exams for a while and was super stressed since I had to play catch up and review on a lot of material I'd fallen behind on or forgotten. Then I get really sick a day or two afterwards with a wombo combo of illnesses, have a 'BLAARGH LIFE' moment and take a break from stuff to get things sorted. Right now, things are still kinda bad as there's some family drama and I still feel like I'm behind on my studies so it's like 'yAY FUN WEEKS'. Sorry for the wall of text but that's literally everything so far!

Hmm, it might be because I think of "talent" as a really strong word. Hard work can only get you 50% of the skills you need if you're the hardest worker in the world, and the other 50% comes from talent (your natural potential at something). If you have both talent and hard work, then you can truly "excel" at a given subject. However, in the case of my exams, they were designed to be passable with studying alone, because they're general classes such as Government, Humanities, and PreCalc. (So yeah, I only aced them because I drove myself insane with studying, haha.)

HI SORRY. I meant to respond to this ages ago but life happened and stuff's kinda been all over the place. Anyhow!

It's alright if you think that Harry Potter isn't that good of a series! The movies were kinda 'eh' in comparison to the books but still pretty cool with all the magic and what not. Each to their own though. I haven't actually read all of Narnia yet! I do remember watching The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and thinking Aslan was the coolest thing to have happened since ready to eat lasagna though.

I don't actually have Disney on my TV anymore or I'd watch Phineas and Ferb! I'd love to have a rollercoaster in my own backyard though I feel like that wouldn't work out. Do you like theme park rides?

Also Percy the Platypus is adorable, aaa. I've actually been watching cartoons like Teen Titans Go in my spare time though I miss seeing stuff like Codename Kids Next Door, Billy and Mandy and other shows from around 2004-2007. Where has time gone?!

There's a laser tag world championship so apparently! I only play with friends every month or so though. Yeah, it's super fun I love it! I've never really had any interest in first person shooters but running around in the dark trying to dodge the other team beats blowing up zombies any day. Learning to commando roll though, that'd be cool.

I haven't played D & D, what's it like? And no worries! When I first played LoL, I thought the turrets were for decoration purposes and got a nasty shock trying to walk past them. Guess I should of played the tutorial, WOOPS.

Haha that sounds a lot like how I feel about chess! I never really did get the hang of it but considering I'm stuck with iPhone hotspot wi-fi for a couple of days, maybe I'll take the time to learn this weekend.

Running for the bus stop when you're late's the worst feeling in the world, holy heck. Good luck with learning to drive! I used to be obsessed with cars when I was younger and now it's like 'big metal things, scary' ... I have a feeling it should of been the other way around but needless to say, I'm thinking of putting off learning to drive.

Other than London and Rome, I spent about a week in Paris, a day in Zurich and a heap of time in Milan and Venice. The whole trip was filled with good food, sightseeing and super cool history so I can say that I'd love to go back for more! Switzerland especially, we were only there for a day but it was the most amazing country.

Yeah, it would be a bit weird for a werewolf to not outrun a human, haha. The hybrid form would still allow them to walk tiptoed, and a bit on all fours, they're really quick. They basically get the perks of being a wolf, combined with having human traits, and added superstrength. The only downgrade is the loss in cognitive function. A wererat or a werepanther would work really well if you made you character like a skinwalker, I think. It's basically a human that can change into animals if he wears their pelts. Owh no, lower power artifacts are totally fine, it's just that the strong ones need to be introduced later in the story, with my permission. I don't want people starting out with a philosophers stone, haha

I'm not sure just yet, I have to look at my schedule and see how my week looks.

They are a lot less sandbox-y, I think, so there is more discussion to be had. And they are more active I'd say.

Werewolves are superhuman in strength and speed, beating most other species. You can always buff them with artifacts, but in general werewolves are already very brutal and strong. If you want to play something more akin to a real wolf than a skin-walker might be the way to go.

Yes, and that list is just common monsters, haha, there are more. The setting was made to serve just superpowered people at the start, but I also wanted to do something with gothic monsters, so I shifted focus. That does mean that human mage is still a hugely wide character range, though, haha.

Yes, it started out with the Titans group, and from their a lot of us got thrown into the big RPT chat. And because we discussed all kinds of RP's randomly, we organized it a bit and made different chats. There is one for Gunpowder, Titans, Railways, and Venice. That's at least the ones I'm part of. Stars of Sinnoh doesn't have one, though.

Thanks! I'm actually working at daytime during the summer, so that's why I've mostly been active at night lately. However, I'm definitely gonna be super-duper active again once the next semester of classes start!

Yeah, the fun part comes out of the fact that people don't know each other's identity.
The way lycanthropy works now is that it gives someone the ability to change into a half man half wolf beast, but you lose some cognitive function, and basically run on your instincts. I think the setting will allow for a lot of crazy characters, haha.

I do have a higher resolution! The biggest I've got is 250 x 250 pixels. Just let me know exactly what pixel resolution you want so I can resize it for you (though it should be 250 pixels or smaller for quality reasons). By the way, were you the one who made the Poisoned ice cream Sandshrew account? If so, I'm guessing you want a bigger avatar, right? xD As for exams, I got really lucky and aced them!

The way I set up the 'veil' between normal life and supernatural life in that world is that people don't know about each other being not human at day, and when they do supernatural things they put on masks. I had the idea for a superhero story set in Venice, because the canals and the masks could do for some fun storytelling. And because it's a very rich city with a lot of trade, you can have very eccentric stuff happen, and have a mix of different cultures. I hope it draws some people in, haha. And I'll be accepting other werebeasts, although to keep them viable in action, they become a bit more like shapeshifters, than straight up lycans.

They are adorable, aren't they? It's fun to see a character you created be put in art form. I wish I could draw, but alas, just sprites for me.

I'm waiting for some feedback from Deceptio and Gimmepie, and once I've incorporated that, I plan to launch it. It's going to be Venice filled with monsters like vampires, werewolves and ghosts, and superpowered humans battling it out. If you feel like you can't join at the start, it's set up to be very joinable later on, and easy to step out of too.

I'm waiting on the Infinite/Canceler JP and the Gios7m/Likarus JP, and I'll move on then. I'll need to check how many players have arrived in Jubilife. We can move on if that's at 3/4th I'd say.

This is just a collab, haha, I'm changing everything back at one point. I've got a RP coming up where you can play as a werewolf, dunno if you would be interested.
