  • Aww man, I was discouraged by the lackluster albums they've released after Pinkerton, but the new album is the best since their sophomore record. I actually think the rest of the songs are actually better (lyrically at least) than Back to the Shack, being kind of a cheesy song ("I forgot that disco sucked" - I get what message he's conveying to his fans but some of the lines sort of made me cringe TBH.) It wasn't extremely groundbreaking, it's more of a throwback/revival to their first two albums but it does it really well. I'd recommend listening to it front and back.
What are your favorite songs from the blue album? I love Buddy Holly, No One Else, Surf Wax America, In The Garage, and Only in Dreams the most. You guys should also consider covering some songs from Pinkerton.

What did you think of Weezer's new album, Everything Will Be Alright in the End?
Yep. I'm 19 and I live in Boise. To be fair, I'd rather go back to Portland where I was raised. On the brightside, it's much cheaper to live here. I live in a suburb with a crappy music scene (mostly white trash high school dropouts that start rap groups.) But in the actual city of Boise, there's a thriving indie scene to my knowledge.
Oh, and I see that you've been listening to Built to Spill. I love the band, they are actually from where I live. Too bad I never been to any of their shows (They did have one a few months ago, but it was a 21+ show, so I couldn't go.)
Yeah man, Hoenn was my first region. I was actually late on the main Pokemon games. Though I watched the anime and played Snap since when they first came out, I didn't play sapphire until freshman year of high school. Funny thing is that from middle school to mid high school, I hated Pokemon because they were "kiddy" and picked on the kids that were into it. But remained a closeted fan for a few years, since Pokemon was considered "uncool" at the school I attended. Now I'm a huge fan.

    What was your starter?
No clue, he did log in yesterday though so there's that. He's alright and will be back soon I'm sure, that's the important thing.
Me either haha, and I've been at this for like 10 years. It's hard to find a project that holds my attention for long enough, but at least it's all good practice, I guess?

    And great. (:
Oh yeah, that's basically my writing process as well. The downside is I find it really difficult to finish anything, so I'll probably have to figure out how to be more structured at some point...

And not at all, add away!
Oh neat, I think if you executed it well that would be a really interesting story. My stories tend to be kinda all over the place, I always have very vague ideas that I'm trying to string together, and I also write things out of order so it can take a while to get it all sorted. :p Blah.

And I don't think it all sounded pretentious haha.
I really enjoy writing (some fantasy, some just plain old fiction), although I don't spend enough time with that as I should. I need to work on developing a good habit... I don't have many other hobbies, though. At least not lately. I keep myself fairly busy with school, reading, and Netflix.
Arrested Development is great. And I really like Modest Mouse, as well. (: Music is indeed awesome. Do you have any other hobbies/interests/whatever?
Nice, good taste! Most of those are on my (very long) "to-read" list. And yeah, I do. Well, not so many movies lately, but I watch quite a bit of TV--mainly comedies (things like Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, Louie, Orange Is The New Black... and some anime). Music-wise, I lean towards rock, I guess. My favorite bands, at the moment, are Arctic Monkeys, Green Day, Tegan and Sara, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I have a pretty wide range when it comes to music. Are you big on movies/tv/music?
