I really like McGann as an actor, so it's a shame they didn't use him, but I also really liked John Hurt, and it really wasn't written for McGann.
I'd love for Eccleston to come back to the show, he's my second favorite doctor I think, and he's great in everything he does.

When I started watching, I didn't know about Eccleston, or regeneration, so I was really confused it wasn't one of those two pretty boys that showed up, and I kinda ruined it for myself by googling it, haha.
I explicitly told him not to google anything about the show untill he had finished the season, so that helped.

S5 was made to be a start, so it would be a great way to start. I always try to send people in as blind as possible. I had one friend sit through S1 without knowing about regeneration, that was amazing, haha. But if people are casually interested, it's indeed the best to start at 5 I think.

Yeah I love season 1, Eccleston was great, but there were just a lot of bad episodes. I tried to get friends in to it, and the pilot is a turnoff, and followed closely by the slitheen it isn't a very appealing start, most of my friends find. But it also has the Doctor Dances and those episodes are I think the best in the series.

I really liked season 8 because I found that I didn't dislike any episodes, and I just loved Flatline and Mummy on the Orient Express. I like Clara in S7, but I didn't like the episodes that much.

You're right about Deep Breath. The doctor didn't have his real 12 persona yet, with the whole amnesia thing.

Yeah, I expected such a thing, haha. I don't think Clara is written badly in S8, I just hear it a lot, and I it's hard to find someone to fangirl over her with, haha. I love the dynamic between the Doctor and Clara in S8. Capaldi is my favorite iteration of the doctor. I'd even go as far and say that 8 is my favorite season so far.

I think she's the whole reason I like girls in skirts, haha. It's nice to see someone not bashing Clara for being badly written, haha.

I really thought Rory was a cool dude, and when it comes to the girls I really like Amy and kinda have a celebrity crush on Clara, haha.
