Btw pair, I'm thinking of starting another RP. My Johto Mysteries one was quite succesful until it hit a brick wall of inactivity. And Johto is STILL my favourite region so I was thinking of starting another Johto-based thing ^^

And it's ok ^-^ Oh and you won't see an Ultimate challenge from me until I've bought Pearl and B/W/B2/W2 cause I cba to play on emulators anymore xD so I'll look into the gen 5 games and buy myself a copy of Pearl. Now I got gen 1 games, I got soul silver for johto, ORAS for hoenn so I just need sinnih and unova xD Then I'll resume my challenge. And well, I actually got a Dark monotype in progress but I can't list it cause I got an Umbreon in my team that I got as an eevee via wonder trade. And well, Hoenn gives you poochyena and seedot early on so a trade wouldn't be needed. But I wanted to use Umbreon so yeah xD I only made it to Slateport xD but thanks for reminding me about my psychic run lol

That makes sense to have it from the regional dex, but I guess my question is more about being able to choose the strongest X-type Pokemon to hack in. If all viable options were arranged from weakest to strongest, is there anything that says 'these first few Pokemon are fine to be hacked in, but anything stronger would give an unfair advantage'? I'm sorry if I'm not phrasing this very clearly.

Hey so in the UG skype chat we started talking about Nuzlockes and how someone had done a monotype previously. It occurred to me that some games you can't get certain types early on so I wanted to see what the "official" monotype thread (yours :p) specified for this situation. You have a nice list of games and types where it is appropriate to hack in a pokemon of the type, but I then wondered if there was a list of "appropriate" pokemon to hack in. Just curious, is there anywhere that lists pokemon by type that wouldn't be OP to hack in for a monotype (or is anything non-legendary free-game)? Or maybe that's a list that should be made...

Would "Attractive Pokemon speculation thread" sound more appropriate?
