I really liked Release the Panic, but it seemed... Experimental. Not that I feel that's necessarily bad though. I do feel it's their weakest album though. Then again, they only have four albums, so that isn't really bad. And Release the Panic, Die for You, So Far Away, and Hold me Now are all amazing songs. The Recalibrated album is also worth picking up. But behind Innocence and Instinct I think that End of Silence is their best. I say this because their first two albums mixed Strings with Guitars so beautifully, like in Death of Me, Already over, and Fight Inside. Especially in Death of Me though. And I agree with you; Their softer songs are amazing. I especially loved Hymn of the Missing, and I think that Of These Chains is just great. But their really heavy songs too, Like pretty much anything off Until we Have Faces. (Though, it had it's soft songs too.)
