  • It was disappointing to see your Route 110 encounter turn out to just be a Wingull, especially with how common Pelipper are as you said yourself. But well done Macromedia for getting revenge on that Goldeen, as well as Derpy evolving.

I know you have Team Aqua battles and that tough rival battle against Brendan coming up, and I'm assuming Derpy + Bed Bug are the pair you'll use against him since the latter is strong against his Grovyle.

And once you get to Mauville, you'll be able to go for your Route 117 encounter right away so there's that.
Ah, so sorry about the delayed reply, but yea, unwinding is good every once in a while~ Did you get a chance to relax over the weekend?
Good to hear you beat Brawly without too much concerns (especially given your team went in itemless so that Knock Off didn't get buffed) but I know the trip to Slateport is coming up. Let's hope Macromedia doesn't die there, just like Vizio and Casserole did.

As for upcoming encounters, I hope you get an Electrike (heck maybe even a Plusle) on Route 110. Oddish would be good as well, but then that means you'd have to try and skip all the Gloom encounters on Routes 119-121. Gulpin would be interesting as well.
I know that Brawly is going to be quite the threat to your team here, so all the hope lies on Dustox to get past his Fighting-types.
I did notice on Azurilland that your Wurmple did become a Dustox after all. That at least will separate her from Fly Ball since it was time to switch things up. I did notice you dumped Zigzagoon and Taillow in the PC, but hopefully Rusturf Tunnel will give you a Whismur that your Shroomish can pair up with. Let's hope the new Whismur can actually last longer than Slateport City (unlike poor Casserole and Vizio).

I recall Vizio was Portobello's first partner in your Wedlocke, so I could imagine seeing another Whismur + Shroomish pair happening, but in reverse with the genders.
It's off to a good start, especially that Skitty really doing a good job fending off Lady Cindy's Zigzagoon, who's actually pretty strong at the point you fight her. At least Skitty has Cute Charm, which is the better ability because with Normalize she'd lack type coverage options.

But unfortunate to see a conflicting nature problem so early, maybe you'll deposit some of them once you get more options that have more diverse natures. I do love what you named your Poochyena, and I hope your Wurmple evolves into a Dustox this time, given you had Beautifly in Omega Ruby.

It was odd to see you pick Mudkip with a Trainer ID ending in 5, but I can understand you didn't want Torchic twice. At least we do have a pairing of the starter with a Wurmple again.
I think it was going in without a full team that led to the downfall. Morocco would have been the perfect answer to most of Hugh's team had you just stuck him in the team immediately after you lost Italy. Also, what did you think of my epilogue? Like what the fallen Pokemon were doing after their run was over?
HeyIs4Horses seems to be overcoming odds in his WonderPersonaWedlocke as well, I totally thought that Longus the Luvdisc was going to not last long on the team, but damn what a moment! Here's hoping she continues to prove herself, with her beloved partner Wrinkles the Dustox alongside her.
The fallen teammates will no doubt be looking down on Clark and hoping his new Pokemon can carry him through the Elite Four, including Australia who has been through the beginning and witnessing all the deaths that ignite his fighting spirit; Egypt, whose swaggy attitude and power has helped her shown she was a strong player from the get go, and also Slovakia, who has been through more bro badge moments that anything else that went through a Nuzlocke.

Jamaica started thinking he's a fairy (maybe he saw 6th Gen coming), Finland still hates surprise attacks after Burgh's Aerial Ace trick, Luxembourg feels bitter about crits, but still feels proud that other Liepard have survived almost as long as her, Pakistan had been experiencing system difficulties after falling to that nasty Ghetsis, but it thinks Clark has a clever plan, Ukraine is still in tears after he never got as far as he was hoping for, but still feels proud that his beloved leader is still here. Iraq had been cheering so much for Slovakia, especially with how capable of survival she really has been (yay for sludge). Guatemala admits he started getting nightmares of small Bug-types after his disaster with the Joltik, Denmark knew that the legend that told him Fighting-types are scary opponents would come true after his fall against the Scrafty, so he's now hoping the newcomers don't fall to Marshal. Palau hated how Clark treated him, from having to fly him around, to being forced to sacrifice himself. Singapore feels proud that she proved how great a Maractus can really be, Italy feels terrible he went down so quickly because he was hoping to prove himself, and Eurasia knows that he has hopes for Serbia, because he knows that she has potential and she could be Clark's next big answer for Marshal. The fallen are also hoping for Morocco to keep them proud as well, knowing the strength expected from a Heracross.
I think the reason why I predicted Serbia would be one of your replacements is because Eurasia would have been your ideal Marshal counter, and with him now out of the picture, everything about the role he'd do against the Elite Four now all seems to be pointing to that little Elgyem. A Pokemon whose species needs more love.

As for Shauntal's scarfed Chandelure, I presume you had something in weak to Ghost to get her locked into Shadow Ball and have Egypt sponge the hits? Since she was pretty much the best answer. It's just that had she been locked into Fire Blast things would not have been as pretty.

I still feel not happy about that Doctor with the Clefable practically trolling the hell out of you, especially after losing your own Clefable, who never got a proper chance to shine. Italy's pretty much now your shortest lifespan in a Nuzlocke if Horologium the Patrat isn't counted, because said Patrat never gained a level before she was written out.
Mhmm I'm in the same situation with Mystery Dungeon. As much as I do like it, I've been getting through it kinda slowly because of other games and stuff I'm playing.

That sounds neat though, about the Nuzlocke! Wait, is Azurilland related to Marriland? o.o
I think that if you were to name your worst rivals in Pokemon, Hugh will be no doubt at the top of your list after this. Had you stuck to Sludge Bomb instead of chancing with Gunk Shot some of these deaths could have been prevented.
    *sees update*

Wow a massacre against Hugh... just the worst thing to happen. Italy never got a chance to shine, Eurasia and Singapore were always great at holding themselves well, and now Palau joins Disco from Marriland's Wedlocke as the second Swanna murdered by this heartless boy.

**** you Hugh we hate you. Oh well, at least Morocco is on the team now, but I hope you add Serbia and Nigeria as well, because what better way to replace a fallen Psychic and Grass-type than with another Pokemon of their type. Plus I love both Elgyem and Tangela, but then again there's that Foongus. As for the fourth new member, I hope it's Uruguay the Frillish since I think she'd be good, or maybe Russia the Piloswine.
Aw, well no news is good news right? ^_^

How are things going on the Pokemon gaming side of things? Do you still play the games these days?
Oh, heya! n_n Things are okay. A bit busy lately, but nothing too bad. How are you doing? c:
Ah yes, Shelley... who is now a Dewott. It was awesome to see her beat Lenora without Roggenrola or a Fighting-type, the latter she skipped because she was counting Pinwheel Forest as one area (similar to Marriland in his Wedlocke) and wanted something from the interior.
I'm sure you'll get a new avatar soon. But I have to admit, there's been a few Nuzlockes lately with female starters, with Tap now getting a female Totodile in Heart Gold there.
So HeyIs4Horses lost his Vivillon to Korrina's Lucarios... although its Dustox partner survived. The bad news is Dustox is now paired to a Luvdisc, which is a terribly weak Pokemon so I am worried about how he'll pull through with that, especially with Reflection Cave and very tough Fighting-type trainers ahead.

At least his first pair (Axew + Litleo) is still here. Hopefully Tentacool + Herdier will get more action soon.
Yeah, my tribute to your beloved Portobello.

But as for HW, hopefully he can get some good team members, and maybe not suffer a huge massacre like what usually tends to happen to him in Nuzlockes.
It was a shame you missed out on getting that Zangoose, but at least you got a Sawk which is still a reliable Fighting-type. I see HappyWaffles has got off to a good start with his Black Nuzlocke. Dat female Adamant Tepig... hopefully she lives longer than Pumbaa from your Personalocke, especially if she can make it all the way to the Emboar stage.
