  • Censorship, in terms of animated pornography is an issue for me. Lolicon and toddlercon, while I might find it... odd, it's a drawing, and I'd much rather have a drawing that harms no one rather than the actual thing, no?

However, physical domination as evident in many cultures around the world, like China's foot warping, genital mutilation in several cultures, stoning, and the acceptance of rape is not okay. Real > Digital. If you have a game like Postal, for example and you go around deleting digital lives, I'd much rather you have your butt at home instead of running around with a shotgun in reality, savvy?

Whaling, however, is a somewhat different issue. Whaling was also prevalent in much of Western culture once upon a time (hence the inspiration for the novel Moby Dick). I always believe in licensing to prevent over hunting or over fishing. Everything should be monitored and balanced to prevent over hunting. Siberian Tigers are a prime example. Chinese medicinal beliefs held that specific parts of the tiger would heal or aid the consumer. Tiger eyes, claws, testicles, brains, skin and other internal organs were coveted items on the market. Now we have about... what, 400 wild Siberian tigers in the the world?

What of the Black Rhino? Irrevocable damage to the land and ecosystem is then a sign that someone must place a kind of embargo on the animal until they can recover to an acceptable. Career fishermen know this and eagerly plot out their year to allow for fish to re-populate their numbers before fishing them again. You can't sell tuna if there is no tuna, no?

Too bad humanity is fighting a losing battle and the only way to win is to torch ourselves, effectively loosing our grip on the planet, but that's another dark conversation to have at another time.

Believe it or not, several states have their AOC at around 16. Hawaii's AOC is 16, with a close in age (5 years) exception. So a 15 year old could potentially bed a 20 year old. Interesting stuff, but it's much more widely accepted that 18 is the AOC as a rule. Besides, Japan is getting desperate. They're getting older and older and nobody is having kids over there. I'd gladly help, but I doubt they'd ask me for assistance ohohohoho! Wait... no, not the... never mind. It sounds dirty no matter how I look at it. Fufufu.

Ohohohoho! No matter! It is what it is. Hopefully I answered your questions. If you have anymore, fire away!
Partly that (even though nowadays I've getting over it, not to mention I was rooting for both Alain and Ash in the League that time), but then, actually it's related to the Sun and Moon demo discussion back in the day.
Well, I'm not into the anime for quite a while recently after something happened when discussing about it.
with PC culture rising to prominence in the internet, and Feminist (Who'm really aren't feminist-just man haters who want a quick out for they're man hating) making click bait'y' videos for ads controversy, fame.

These people don't get it... they don't understand other cultures... these are the people who lump anime as a genre... even tho it's a form of media. Saying it's softcore porn...

It sucks and I agree with you... it sickens me to my core.
Welp, it appeared the Genwunner stuff in the new S/M live-action trailer thread caused the thread to go off-topic...
I guess someone egged them on I guess. They cause more problems than they try to solve, ironically. Too bad they don't see it. How is harassing a white guy supposed to help him understand or want to help black people? I go about my business and do what I can to better myself, not worry about what everyone else says or does. That's all you can do, but these people might not see how a passive and peaceful process would help them.
Your friend is getting a bit aggressive for my liking.

I'd like him to explain his points before I do any of my own. You've not yet shown me any evidence to suggest that the Switch will be maintained in tandem with the Wii U and 3DS indefinitely. You've shown me some people saying it will with little evidence to back them up, and you've shown some very strongly worded responses to people who feel very strongly about their theories on something that, at the end of the day, doesn't really matter. I don't feel as though I need to prove that baseless claims are baseless, I feel as though the burden of proof lies on those making the rather profound assertion that Nintendo is about to maintain three different systems at once. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Judging by the response your fairly abrasive group owner has given me, and your claim that I'll probably decline, I feel as though I'm being baited here. But hell, I'm a stupid fish, aren't I? I don't particularly want to speak to Liger or anybody else, and I don't particularly want to go out of my way to discuss something fairly trivial, but I'm willing to entertain your friend's ideas if you let me know which blog exactly this is. I assume Pietriots, but I'd sooner not strike up a conversation with the wrong guy, especially when the guy seems a total tool.
Because it was confirmed by Nintendo? That's a good one. Like when it was confirmed by Nintendo that the DS would not replace the Gameboy? Like when they said the DS would be the third pillar? Because that happened. It's all a marketing tactic. They want to keep things selling while they try something new. They're not putting all of their eggs into one basket, so to speak.

Personal observations don't require citations, they require evidence. Citations are the best evidence you can give me but you're free to give me something wholly inferior if you'd like, I guess.

I'm not entirely sure why you shared your friend's response. I mean, I could share my friend's response, I don't know what it would add. It just seemed like you wanted some validation in an appeal to popularity.
Did the English language take a vacation? Am I missing something here? They? Them? I will never, ever refer to a singular being as a they or a them. People need to stop this behaviour. This showing up and hooting at someone isn't very productive. I didn't think it was as bad as the last one I saw though. This is more sad than anything else. They (the group) were not listening to his reasons and continually asked the same question multiple times. I'm sorry, but trans people are not calculated into any death statistics, neither are gays, lesbians, hermaphradites, etc. the state separates people into racial categories, not gender or sexual preference categories, They are not significant enough to make a difference and would hinder data collection speeds. I highly doubt that there is an actual, factual study and data analysis on how many 'gender quests' killed themselves.

In a different setting, like a classroom, it would have been better without them all trying to talk all at once, and as for housing that the person holding the camera that the individual was denied housing due to being transgender is extremely hard to believe. I think the individual is lying and the only way that he/she/it/xeno would be denied is through personal reasons. The person does not realize that Realtors don't give a damn about what colour, who you, what you are so long as your money is good. Realtors lose out on $15,000 (or more) on a failure to sign. I call bullshit. Being denied a house due to gender discrimination is an extreme stretch and I doubt any Realtor worth their salt would just let a cash cow waltz on by. Could have been worse I suppose, but liars are everywhere
I don't intend to speak to Liger. I also don't subscribe to your appeals to authority, that's a logical fallacy. The person making the point doesn't matter, it's the actual point. And I'm entitled to disagree with that point without being told I'm wrong because the guy who said it is knowledgeable in the field if the reasons provided aren't sufficient. The arguments he presented in that video were unfounded, I explained that. I don't intend to debate the matter with him because I honestly don't care enough. I'm willing to entertain your ideas if you want to actually give me something to work with. But no, you're just redirecting me to people who actually have some semblance of an opinion. You just seem to be blindly following what they say. If you could actually support your own belief on your own you'd have already done it, right?

Yes, um... Yes, you've got super real information. Which I've yet to see. But I've just gotta trust you, right? Awesome.

What on Earth does supporting the Switch have to do with this discussion? What does that have to do with whether or not the Wii U and 3DS will stop getting games later?

What on Earth are you trying to tell me know? Why are you wasting my time?
I feel I should iterate very clearly that every single source you have cited is other people's opinions. Until you get an actual source from Nintendo with some compelling evidence, you should stop being so superior. We're not all ignoramuses for thinking the the 3DS is going the way of the dodo. I find it rather damning to your point that every one of your posts is just a link to someone else. It's like you can't defend your own belief.

I'm currently watching a video from this Liger fellow, who you seem to swear by. About 10 minutes in so far and a bit confused. He complains it's "just an upgraded Wii U". Which is weird, since it's not? I don't see him elaborate on that. Anyway, he goes on to talk about how the D-Pad isn't the style he likes, which is a very strange complaint. The whole reason the D-Pad is fashioned like the ABXY buttons is because you can use each half of the Joy-Con as an individual controller in multiplayer. One player will hold the left controller sideways and use the D-Pad as the ABXY buttons. That's the reason. Very strange complaint.

He talks about how the controller is too small, but the standard controller, which is the Joy-Con attached to a controller-shaped bit of plastic with a battery, looks like a fairly standard controller size. The only time where the controllers could be a bit of an issue is when playing with one half in each hand, which is by no means necessary in any situation. And maybe when playing with the halves on multiplayer, but then it isn't too hard to bring a pro controller with you, is it? I mean, the ability to use a half of the Joy-Con each for multiplayer is just a neat extra feature, and I don't think it would be feasible to design each half to be bigger. The device would be massive. The complaint that he's being forced to buy a pro controller is just weird overall. At the end of the day the Switch is just a handheld that you have the option to put into a dock. I don't get how he expects the handheld form to have big controllers.

He talks about how games shown in the trailer aren't necessarily confirmed. I agree with him completely (but Skyrim is still cool). Though I don't really get why challenging the assertion that we saw Mario Kart 9 is important to the topic of the video. Just seems confrontational for the sake of it, like he needs something else to dislike.

Skipping a lot now, bored. I think I've found where he's talking about the 'third pillar' thing. He says 3DS isn't done yet. I agree. Just like the DS kept going for a bit when the 3DS released, right?

He says the 3DS is going to be where indies develop or some nonsense. Even though multiple developers have said they love developing for Switch. 3DS is super hard to develop for. Same with Wii U, because the gimmicks get in the way. For the 3DS, for example, you need to add touch screen stuff and often 3D. It's not cheaper to develop for 3DS. That makes no sense - the Switch has less gimmicks and supports more mainstream engines like Unreal Engine 4.

He says the Wii U will be for kids. That's a bit of a stretch, man. Maintaining two consoles is super hard, they've never maintained two before. In fact, I've never heard of any company doing that. It's insane. We will get Wii U games for a while but we'll be weaned off it. The only reason he gives to suggest that the Wii U will be supported for the entirety of the Switch's life cycle is "there were no kids in the Switch trailer". Yeah, because adults are the audience Nintendo wants right now. Mark my words you'll see kids in future trailers. Right now Nintendo wants to break the illusion that they're the kiddie company.

Okay. I'm done. If you wanna continue this discussion, give me your actual opinion instead of making me work for it. Is it that hard? That video was insufferable - the music was too loud, he had no script and talked about his flight half the time, and I had to watch it at 1.5x speed.

All of your sources so far have been opinion pieces. Those aren't actual sources. My actual source is Nintendo itself, calling the Switch its 'next gen home console'. You and your buddies are getting all your information from other fans. You talk about it like you just agree with everything they say. It's as if you have no opinions of your own, which honestly wouldn't be surprising considering every single argument you've given us so far is 'these people agree with me go read what they said'. It's so mundane, we aren't having a conversation. If you're gonna give me another boring, uninformative link, don't reply again. If you want to actually discuss the matter, reply again.
Are Disquis, some blog, and a few YouTube channels your only sources? Really? Where do they get their information from? Reasoned argument, I should think, though I can't see anything related to this topic on The Heroes 7 at all.

If you could just, like, give me some quotes from people at the least, I'll take all of this seriously. But so far you're just giving me an appeal to popularity ("look how many people agree!").
