  • I don't know when you'll be back, but I have to step out for about an hour or so. If you should return and I am unavailable this is the explanation. (:
I will tell you this: if you ever have a Shiny traded from me, there is a very good chance it will be a clone. I like to keep untouched Shinies and use copies of them (I consider it using the clones, but it's impossible to tell the two apart). If you want to break your policy for a Shiny Nincada, I have four clones I think still available. I plan to train it finally in OR/AS and will be taking it to where it was originally caught in Emerald.

Also, the way cloning is done in X/Y is that you copy the Pokémon to your Bank using the Bank, then restore a backed up save file. Technically, BOTH Pokémon are originals; the Bank thinks the ones in there are original, and the restored savegame file thinks the original is the one in the file. So it's actually different from the older form of cloning, where you had to hold a button (say, Select) while moving Pokémon in your box, or (in Gen. IV) possibly even having garbage 'Mons who are turned into clones of the one you want to duplicate. In that case, the term "clone" carried more meaning because you physically did that. The new method seems more like two originals, just that you get the second by restoring a saved game.

(Note I'm not discussing the method involving two 3DSes. That's more risky.)
I'm accepting of ARed Gen. IV events because you can't tell them apart - technically even Gen. V. It's possible for people to say they are legit., but there is really no way to tell. (Note: there was a Shiny Eevee at Lv.50 there. It has an AR code. I've tested it and it works, but ATM any generations are still there. They get random stats like the event one did - AR lets you even check that in those games - so it's like an extension of the event.)

That's the same with cloning, too. I had only one Eevee with a 31/xx/31/31/31/31 spread and wanted to keep one in case I enter the event as well, so asked RNC to clone a couple. Since I have the nature covered by the Everstone anyway, my next bred Eevee with that spread would be identical anyway (except the specific Attack stat would differ). So, in the case of 6IVs especially, I just consider it a way of "speeding things up"; I got it once, I can get it again with or without cloning.

Shinies, on the other hand, are better for cloning. And no, you can't tell them apart, so I say there is a very good chance you could have a clone and not even know it. I have a Poké Ball Vivillon, too, but I can't fly to France; I was therefore accepting of a clone to get that one Dexed. I know it's legit. as it does not say June 4, which Power Saves I hear DOES have a hacked Wonder Card for.

Of course, in the case of the Eevee, I may breed another nature. Have to decide if I want to spend time evolving one tomorrow, then enter it for the contest.
I don't know any Ditto Safaris nor have any. The offer remains open, and I only clone anything special. 6IV counts as special. Shiny counts as special. Events count as special (if you have a lot of events, guarantee you have clones). I accept clones because they are no different from the original. Heck, you might even end up with the original and the other the clone. But to both of you, it's still an original.

I think my trades to you were all 5IV? No clones there.
There's no need to say sorry all the time :''D
And yuiy - I'm exited about the new Vivillon <3

Oh yea speaking of which - may I ask what your Vivillon pattern is?
Just an FYI. You probably already have cloned stuff. :)

With a 6IV Ditto, chances are that almost every single one you see is RNGed or something since they cannot be bred. It's too bad you can't legitimately breed a 5IV or 6IV Ditto by breeding...well...with other Ditto (I think in II you could, according to a source). The Friend Safari improves the odds to something like one in a million (rather than a trillion or three), but it's still hard to find in the wild. I guarantee you every 6IV Ditto is RNGed except a rare few (and even then hard to find). Especially Shiny ones like the one I have.

I spoke to someone recently about cloning an entire Nature set; he mentions he "creates" them by RNG. Ya know what? I don't care. It's acceptable here for trade. They won't do anything except live in the daycare. It's like a hacked Shiny Latias I ensured wasn't passed to anyone else after the player learned it could be a hack (and eventually came to that conclusion). The OT "!1338" was a dead giveaway (look it up). It sits in Box 31 and has not seen the light of...Kalos since. Anyway, that was being passed around with perfect IVs (1 in 879 TRILLION). It was similarly RNGed, and technically looked legal in every way, but the OT gives away the hack (otherwise it might have passed).

Ditto is only used for breeding, and I later found out that the Ditto I have in V might be hacked. After thinking about it, that's all right. Breeding with it helped complete my Dex. I still keep it in the Daycare and don't use it for battling online, only for breeding babies. And 90-95% of people online do too. So take advantage of the chance to get a clone, because they're all using clones too. (That one is in V and I now have the Shiny one here in VI.)

BTW, I'm really usually only OK with cloning Ditto, Shinies and 6IVs. Esp. 6IV Shinies. I have a 6IV Shiny Riolu that is cloned. Never will anyone willingly give up an only one of those.
    Saw the 6IV Ditto request.

As soon as I get cloning working, I can get you a Trifecta Ditto (that is, Shiny, Japanese - foreign basically - and 6IV). And a whole bunch of Shinies. And some 6IV Pokémon. LOL I'm cloning my 6IV babies and then using them in my new breeding projects (though the Eevee one will be difficult with so few females). But I'm finishing my challenge first. LOL

And yeah, I'll want your Shinies too. But I can give them back. :)
No problem. Saw the PM BTW. :)

Yes, provided it's not part of the same trading session (as in the first one, we traded three, ended up cancelling out, then trading more; we might have been able to make a case for it as two sessions, but meh), you can review each time, and I you if you have a thread (but if you create a thread today, I can't review the first trade according to very weird rules, only today's LOL).

Since we had called that the end of the trade, and I conducted other "business" so to speak, and then I came to you to say have your experienced oldie back with something my Psychic powers (hah!) told me you needed...that made it a second trading session, and thus reviewable. :)
Hey no need to say sorry - it happens! >,<
And first of all thanks for the Lilleep offer. : )
Someone was actually going to trade me one but.. if that doesn't work out I'd love to come back on your offer!
Feel free to let me know if you need any more HAs from me. ^^
woops i was just wondering what was up with the Spritzee haha
I am actually already getting one from someone else so.. I can send i tback if you like. I don't mind about the Boufallant. : )
    That's ok - i didn't mean to seem impatient - it's just a lmost midnight here haha
The reason I ask is because I can breed babies to train from the start (for those three, not for the Lv.1 ones which are clearly bred). If you don't need them back - after all, getting to the 20s is no problem - then I can keep them. :)
Still awaiting that second review. :P

As for the other non-Lv.1, I have Bouffalant (Lv.27), Nidoran (Lv.24, and the female), and Oshawott (Lv.33). I can return any after I breed them, but I'm doing a challenge right now so am not presently breeding. :)

Oh, and you're in my "notable trades" section. Check that out. :)
Also, if you want any of the Kalos-bred Lv.20+ back, I can treat them as rentals and give you more Enigma Berries as well. Just let me know. I have to breed them first. :)
I just do them in order. Occasionally someone sends them with a mismark (3IV instead of 4IV for instance), and I probably mismark a couple myself.

I noted in my trade list that I'm apparently Psychic type for a laugh. Feel free to note that you sent the Starly there. ;)
BTW, this counts as another trade session, so if you wish to leave another trade comment about this one you can do so. I'm marking it as a separate one in the list I put together today. :)

I think I need 20 reviews before I get to Intermediate, which is my current objective.
Oh, I marked the perfect IVs for you. Unless you did that before sending it.

Are you flashing options? Just pick one. :)
Either way, I still got what I wanted. Your Tentacruel also gained a level from the great...never mind.

So yeah, I attached something. Consider it a...rental fee (since I used it for breeding). And before you ask, no, it's not hacked. LOL
