Japan will probably be more worthwhile anyway. buy excess riko merch and sell extras to me pls But if you do buy merch people have been saying that anime merch is generally cheaper the further away from Akihabara you are.
I suppose NYC to LA would probably be more than a bit pricier than traveling from halfway across the country. I'm doing this concert because I probably won't be going to Japan in the next couple of years so this is probably my best shot to see them live. It would have been nice if the performances were announced further out than 3 months in advance. Might have been able to convince my friends that AX would be our 2018 out-of-town con instead of one in Chicago the same weekend.
One odd thing about the AX show is it's literally 3 days before the first day of their Fukuoka show. And their Osaka show only ends on the 17th of June, which isn't much time compared to spacing for their past concerts.
