Yeah, there are still people applying, but there are too many mappers/tile inserters. so if you know how to do something else like scripting, you should join.

Sorry for responding late, i don't get on this site that much anymore, well i've been doing some maps and tiles for a friend of mine for a new hack he's making (hopefully this one doesn't die) and something else for PHO (take a look around the site to see what i mean)

Ah, okay. D: all you have to do though is insert the tile anywhere, set the behavior data to Grass animation (Pokemon), and edit the animation for the grass in animation editor. :)

Have you inserted your wild grass and tested it yet? I've inserted it, animation and all, but when I walk on it I don't encounter any pokemon. I know it's not the encounter rate, as I've checked it multiple times and even set it to %100, or the behavior data. Do you have any idea how to fix it?

Yeah. I quit it a while ago because I wasn't really happy with the quality of it, and I can do better now. :(

Looking forward to the alpha, then. I'll be sure to play it when it comes out. :) And what do you think of this map? I've remapped the starter town twice now, but I don't really like it. :(

I've used zein's lab because I couldn't find any other good lab tiles when I looked around at deviantart. Thanks anyways. :)

With my last hack I released an alpha that was one GYM long, and had a big event involving team rocket in it. :) I think if you want to release a small alpha that gives everyone a taste of your hack, I think you could make it one GYM, but with a big event in it too. If you want a bigger release, 2 GYMs, maybe? It's really up to you.

Did you insert them tiles on your own, or used a ROM base? and i don't like the long paths you made :P, yeah, i'm sure you have improved way more than when you made this, and i haven't seen any of your new maps, care to show me?

That's right! There's a limit of 256 or 512, depending on whether it's FR or Emerald.

The size isn't the issue, it's more that a lot of squares need to be duplicated. But, yes, if you'd rather do it yourself, then that's fine. :) I'll get to work.

yeah, it's weird how when you start out, you get these random ideas for a hack, my hack first hack was something about pokemon taking over the world and enslaving humans, i left the hack after i realized that i could do something better. :P and i had mapped the whole region already, but they looked like fr map edits, i didn't know how to make map connections. xD
