You can use a Credit Card or you can get prepaid eShop cards. They're abandoning the points system. Thing is, those eShop cards were supposed to be in Canada 23 days ago. I haven't seen one yet. No stores even have them.

And Nintendo Video was added very recently. What part of the world do you live in? It's available only in Europe and North America.
