Okay so I've been entertaining myself on IRC by playing with stomper and leaper. I accidentally banned leaper and he won't come back... ;~;

I managed to get everything running smoothly besides the msgbox... until the clock is finished setting. Then, it fades to black, to never return.

edit: even if i'm not on when you get on, type in /nickserv register [password] [e-mail] so I can a-op you when I get back on. passwords are encrypted by the server, although I'd probably suggest you use a different one (though one you'll still remember!), not your PC pass, just in case. if you use something other than "colcolstyles" as your un please do tell. :]

click on "go straight to chat". now, on the dropbox next to IRC: (it should say something like Mibbit [webirc]), go find "SynIRC". It's alphabetic so yeah. Anyway, change the nick to um whatever you want (presumably colcolstyles? :D) and in the channel box put #RH101. THEN YOU'RE ON THE CHANNEL

...but I haven't figured everything out yet so yeah. :3

I simply called the actual main script interpreter to read my script. It goes in an endless loop, however, when I try to activate a msgbox.

Nope, didn't work. The game simply resets.
The routine you posted as the handler, however, is a subroutine of the actual one I had, so I put it back... to no avail again. At least it didn't reset right away this time, though. I think I might be making progress.

ALSO: Yeah, definitely. As far as I remember, there's the channel owner (signified by ~, like ~Vrai) and then it's either & or %. I dunno. Whichever is under ~ is what you guys will be (I'm fairly sure it's &), and then the tutors will be +, meaning that they're voiced or have the power to kick/speak during muted sessions.

ALSO: I'm unsure yet. While that would probably be a fairly good idea, I'd like to be the one in complete control of this. I kind of want to establish my own channel (which is fairly easy actually; I've done it before though I don't remember exactly how x_x) and figure it out first, I think.

Can you please help? Every time I try to call the scripting handler (which I thought was at 0x98F51) before the intro, the game just shows me a black screen. Any ideas?

Yeah, I've never really thought about that. Then again, I've never tried to go off on my own and scream... though I kind of want to. I've felt that feeling before, though, the one like you can't do something, even though you really want to. You just can't. It feels so impossible that by the time you force yourself to even do something similar, it feels wrong. :(

Your example at the end there, with the girl? Yeah. I can't just stop dead in my tracks and ignore her now, partially because she engages in the conversation first. Maybe you need like a starter, a reason for you to just go and scream. Well, I mean, there are plenty of reasons, but I think you need like a really good purpose for you to just go and do it right then and there. Get someone to piss you off. >:D
