Hello there,
I hope you will forgive me for spamming your visitor messages. I saw that you had been involved in maintaining a thread about various pokemon "creepypasta" stories. After reading the bit about Paras on Bulbapedia, I realized something. Something I could not keep to myself. Because the moment I read the comment that the only thing more disturbing than Paras would be a "parasitoid wasp pokemon"...well, it was like a flash of lightning. In a moment of total, insightful clarity, I realized the truth. Such a pokemon does indeed exist...and it too is in Generation I. The pokemon I'm referring to is Beedrill. The lowest stage on the evolution chain is weedle, which is clearly a caterpillar, and it is the lowly caterpillar that parasitoid wasps infest. Consider, Beedril's appearance and behavior is clearly wasp-like, not bee-like. Further, it is said that Beedrill "hatch" from Kakuna, just as parasitoid wasps hatch from their host, and at that point it no longer bears any resemblance to the original pokemon. Not to mention the most basic fact. Simply, that bees and wasps are not a mature form of caterpillar.
So, now you are the recipient of my creepy tale, and the next time you "evolve" a Kakuna, you may find yourself giving pause to wonder what really broke out of its shell.
Question everything,
Prof. Briar
