  • But nyet.

I never rooted it. Didn't see the need. That and it makes it easier to troubleshoot my mom's phone for her.
Good choice. Because I won't be changing it now : P
Uh... Peachy? And that's alright, I know how you feel. I spent the better half of my childhood playing console games on a 19" TV.

Yup, that's Zeromus for ya! If there's one thing I learned from playing a Final Fantasy game it's that you simply cannot disregard too many battles. I was in the 50s (not the decade, obviously) when I fought Zeromus and somehow managed to beat him. Trust me, it feels really nice when you finally do.

If there's any advice I can give you it's to go back and get the best weapons and spells. It may be long and tedious, but it will help you immensely. It's also worth nothing that the DS version's fight with Zeromus is the hardest.
BUT WE GOT MINE ON A BOGO DEAL! Basically, we payed $200 plus the monthly data plans for mine and my mom's phones. Both are an HTC G2.
Really? You're missing out on a lot. I strongly suggest you go and pick one up... like, right now!

Right. The only other RPG I've played with a real-time combat system was Secret of Mana, which I liked, but not loved. As for Final Fantasy IV, don't be so down on yourself. It was my first game in the series (I played it last year and have yet to play another) and my first time through I had to stop playing because I was way too low-leveled and couldn't beat the the Four Fiends, and as you may know you can't leave that dungeon once you've entered it. I had to restart my entire game, and the second time through I destroyed them... but then there was Zeromus; easily the hardest final boss I've ever fought.
Is that right? I'd say I have a pretty nice balance of console and handheld gaming.

Normally I would agree with you, but all of the complexion and strategy associated with the combat system of Tales of the Abyss makes it more than satisfying for me. Overall, I would say playing the game has given be the single best experience of an RPG with Final Fantasy IV dangerously close behind. Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver definitely win in terms of replay value.
I know, and I can't wait! Playing Tales of the Abyss on the 3DS is rather irritating for me at times as the game's textures make every little spec of dust stick out immensely, not too mention I'd probably find the combat system a hell of a lot more comfortable on a console controller. Not that I'm complaining; Tales of the Abyss rocks! :D
