It's not a problem, I've been pretty busy lately myself.
Skype probably will be easier. I need to start getting on more often. lol
Fingering gets tricky for me because I have small hands. It's hard for me to even play an octave with just one hand. lol But I work around it. But I've been practicing quite a bit so hopefully I get to a point where I'm comfortable recording something. :)

Tee-hee! Everyone thinks my name is French, but here's the story: I was on an old forum and my name was Lavish. I wanted to spice it up so I first nicknamed myself Lavie, but I didn't like the pronunciation so I added an apostrophe for no good reason and voila! La'Vie! I had no idea it meant "the life" in French at the time :U

I know you miss Sophie, but a US law came into effect restricting under-13's from the site and she got banned, but I'm hoping she gets parental consent or comes back on her 13th birthday next year, so I might try and comfort you while she's away since I was one of her first PC friends as well.

I'm an Aussie like she is, so that's one thing similar with me.

I'm really not sure on the discipline front. I think I still lack that. lol But piano is something that comes to me naturally since I started at such a young age. I can go months without playing and get right back into the swing of it and I pick up pretty easily on new music.
I stopped playing for quite a while after I stopped lessons too. There's kind of a lack of motivation I guess. Personally, I miss having my teacher be able to help me how to best play certain parts of a song, getting the fingering down in a sensible way, etc.. There are many songs I've learned that I don't think I ever would have gotten down if it weren't for her.

...and I probably won't, mind you :D

Well now that it's August the weather has become considerably warmer. Same here! I had dozens of blankets on in early to mid July but my legs were so cold I had to sleep with my knees tucked up at my chest! You play the keyboard and guitar, huh? :3 I really need to start getting into playing instruments, especially piano and harp. Me neither, but that's because we can't download any. My mom says this summer we have to go to the beach and get some swimming done, but with the sharks in the deep end and the rays in the shallows I'm going to have a hard time letting the water touch my toes. > ~ o' I suppose... It's just there have been so many shark attacks in Australia recently! Thank for the compliment then! *hugs* My brother will be eighteen in April, so I hope he doesn't become like that! Time has been flying by these past two years, huh? And I kind of know what you mean. My grandmother hates being told her age! It's kind of funny. ^-^

I started lessons when I was 4 and did them until I was 18. My parents wanted my sister and I to take them so we could learn good discipline. I really loved my piano teacher though. I miss her a lot. lol I've thought about recording videos but it's been so long since I've played anything I deem performance-worthy. I don't have nearly as much time to practice as I used to. ;-;
So you're self-taught then?

My piano teacher mainly taught me along the lines of more classical stuff, although she would let me choose stuff I wanted to learn here and there. I like to play piano adaptations of movie scores. Occasionally I like to learn some pop songs. Sometimes I make up my own stuff too, but it's usually not very good. lol

Ugh, the mosquitoes can get pretty bad here in summer, too. Especially if it has been a very wet winter. I don't think I've ever been in a traffic jam like that. Ahaha, I love that scene! Makes me laugh every time. c: Yes, there a lot of undiscovered creatures, but even the common ones here like sharks and sting rays scare me!
