That comes with experience. I also had this problem when I started. You should try with simple things and then move on to harder things. I also recommend downloading Knizz's database. The thing is beyond useful.

Oh, and I've played Gold a few times, but I've never completed it.

Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Silver, Crystal, Sapphire, Ruby, Fire Red, and Leaf Green. I hate Gen IV+ and I have yet to complete Emerald. Last attempt I think I had 3 badges in Emerald.. But the rest I've completed at least to the point of beating the Elite 4.

Playing Green was especially fun lol. Not one word of English in the entire game lol. And I don't speak Japanese xD So that was fun.

I'm the same way with Vulpix and Ninetails. I never let my Vulpix evolve lol.

I usually catch a Ninetails, or a second Vulpix later on just to complete the Pokédex, but I never actually keep Ninetails around. I usually release it immediately after.

I'm starting to get into ROM hacking. So yes.

I'm more into testing than developing. Each of us have our place, and I've found mine.

Not sure why it's such a big deal. My ideas were poorly planned, and rarely of any import regardless. :/

I gave up hacking a while back. I focus on beta testing and giving feedback now. Trying to help others who are just starting out, primarily. But I also try to help seasoned veterans learn the newer things that I've learned in my short time hacking.

I lack the patience to make a hack myself lol.

I love the rain, but I hate the mud lol. Always such a hassle to clean my shoes after I play in the rain lol.

My neighbors still think I'm crazy, considering I'm a grown woman running around like a child when it rains lol.
