Yeah, that is true. I don't understand why ORAS ignored so much of Emerald when B2W2 pretty clearly established Emerald as the "canon" version of Gen 3. Of course, neither Emerald or B2W2 are part of the current timeline anymore...:(

I think that FRLG possibly missed out on quite a bit by coming out before Emerald instead of after it. It not only would've had Emerald's altered mechanics but probably also its Battle Frontier (in the same way that HGSS had Platinum's BF).


I think the fandom just prefers whatever appearance is the newest, no matter what. Most of the Lance fanart I see nowadays is of his HGSS look, middle aged man and all. (Well, either that or his ugly, hateful Adventures counterpart.) Of course, I wonder how many of these fans are even old enough to be familiar with his earlier looks, especially his (mostly forgotten) original one? Those in my age group, mid 20s or older, who grew up with the original RBY/GSC are the elders of Pokémon fandom, which makes me feel super old. o_O{D:}

That's the problem with FRLG, they hardly fixed the flaws of the originals, and the few changes they did make were mostly for the worse (like the obnoxious help system, dropped Giovanni/E4 levels, and annoying fetch quests in the postgame). Gen 1 badly needs a remake more like HGSS or ORAS.


Ah, the classic surfer dude Morty. {XD} I actually don't mind his newer look too much, but his original look will always be nostalgic. I found him cute, too. {<3}:P

I dont want to be rich because I have seen what money does to people, how it changes them. I dont want that for myself or my family. However, even if I make a lot of money, I am confident I won't let the desire for money take over me. I dont want a mansion or a fancy sports car. I just want what is a result of my hard work and not being selfish, even if it means giving much of my money away. Others need it more than I do.

I'd prefer Yellow, myself, but I could deal with RB + Yellow elements (like how HGSS were GS + Crystal elements). Big NO to any kind of RG remake (I only have nostalgia for Blue, not Green, as do most people outside of Japan), a RB remake that ignores Yellow, and ESPECIALLY a FRLG remake. FRLG were very flawed remakes, to begin with, so I'd rather they just go back to the originals instead of trying to redo the previous redo. They could take Green (female PC), the VS Seeker, and maybe, the Sevii Isles from FRLG, but that's about it.


Yup! {<3} Of course, a new Gen 1 remake means getting to see Lance in the games again. I'd hope they make him look more like the cute, sexy 20 year old he was in the originals (see my avatar) instead of the tired 40-50 year old he was in HGSS. I'd also hope he gets more fleshing out in the postgame, more hints to the person he would become in Gen 2's time.
