It was my first ever Thanksgiving so it was pretty strange, but it was really fun though. I was full for days XD. Though Black Friday isn't really a thing in Australia as far as I know, I actually had my birthday party on that day and played Pokemon Monopoly, so it was great!

What about you? Did you do anything interesting for Thanksgiving and Black Friday?

Honestly, Pinkie-Dawn, I think it's so depressing, I can't wait to get my Ph.D and go back to Île-de-France because these Californians are allowing Nestle to pump their water away and sell it in bottles, oh - but you can't water your lawn and these days...

As far as I know it has only aired in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, not the U.S., so its U.S. broadcast is still yet to be announced. For now, I guess the only thing I can suggest is to check YouTube every once in a while.

Well some buy both versions, plus those who own one of the pair versions might not want to waste more money on a director's cut. But you have to admit that the third versions are more praised. Look at what people say about Yellow, Crystal, Emerald and Platinum.

Not as much as before. Sadly ORAS were more of a remake of a paired version compared to adding aspects of the third version. The paired versions tend to get a lot of flack. Look at XY and DP...and even BW.

Oh, so the same with Pokémon generations... III was bashed during Gen III and IV, Gen IV was bashed during Gen V, Gen V is current bashed alongside Gen V...Gen III now is praised and Gen IV is getting there...

Yeah they are, unless if those fans don't overlap with P and M's fan bases that is. Not to mention that Mario and Pokémon fans are dying for the next main installment...
I have a feeling that Triforce will also get a lot of complaining for being different...

I love her no matter what look she has, but the fact her long hair has been retained in dub title cards has been bothering me and making me call the dubbers "lazy". I feel like both that and the constant butchering of music makes me want to give up on the dub forever.

Also, I really hope that next year's dub season will finally acknowledge Serena's new look in the title cards or I'll give up on the English dub because it has been so annoying seeing the dub still retaining her long hair in them even after XY060. At least Japan is being sensible and acknowledged the change by editing the opening titles on the episode right after the haircut.

If I recall, the only region to have ever had dub episodes air out of order before was Kanto iirc, so it's weird that the Pikachu episode is getting placed at different points of continuity between the original Japanese and the dubbed versions. Then there was also the episodes featuring Pokemon Ranger characters also airing at different spots between the Japanese and the dub but the latter likely did it so the episodes aired closer to their respective games' release date.

As for the Clemont's Bunnelby flashback episode being in fear of getting skipped outside of Japan, I guess it's because the dubbers viewed it as pointless and decided to air the Pikachu special in its place instead. Then of course there was those aforementioned recap episodes from Hoenn and Sinnoh that only aired in Japan, because the dubbers don't see any point in flashback episodes for some reason.

Remember when you thought this episode was getting skipped in the English dub? Turns out it will be airing in the US after all, on November 21st, but unfortunately this places its dub continuity out of order compared with Japan since over there it aired before the Dendemille Town Showcase episode.

Speaking of out-of-order, it appears XY087 (where Clemont revealed how he got Bunnelby) might end up getting skipped since no US airdate was revealed, in a similar fashion to the 1 Hoenn and 2 Sinnoh clip show episodes.

Uh... the franchise is like 25 years old. Are you suggesting I start with the modern anime? Or perhaps the manga?

If I were to try to get into Jojo's Bizarre adventure, where do you suggest I begin?
