I'm working on my own scripting language called FooScript which will be used in conjunction with my games. It'll make things like NPC events, enemy AI, menus and other general tidbits a lot faster and easier to make. That way main engine can focus on the graphical aspects. 'Tis fun too.
Once I've finished version 1.0 I'm so gonna make a Mystery Dungeon style Pokemon game. Except without the randomly generated dungeons and realtime battling instead of turn based. I guess that isn't really a Mystery Dungeon style Pokemon game then is it? XD
I'm going for BTEC National Diploma for Software and Game development. Luckily, I'm ahead of most people there since I've learned most of the stuff on the course. Like programming in C++ and such. I have unconditional acceptance because along with GCSEs I brought a portfolio of all my projects and most of it is more advance than the course. ( I'm showing off, I'll shut up now. =p )
Even if I don't make is as a games developer I can still program regular software instead. ( Which oddly enough is easier and you get paid more. XD )
