Absence makes the heart grow fonder, my dear. :)
(Also, my mother has made us about two hours late. They're picking up the car right now, I've checked the house three times, and now I'm like, "Well, damn. What to do now? Oh, I know! PC!" Also, possibly smack one of my beta clients.)
That said, a few points to short-form respond:
1. I'd comment about the f_secrets wank, but the loading times make me go :(. However, I did read a bit of it, and while I agree that it's aggravating that people think there's only one manga (particularly because I like Electric Tale of Pikachu and certainly not because Toshihiro Ono actually gave Bill backstory... and made him look kinda hot), the kids have a point that Special is both ongoing and easier to get a hold of, so therefore, it's more popular and eclipses all of the others. It's just a fact of life, really, and I don't see how it's a big deal. Special is good, cute, and dramatic, and all of those other comics are flipping out of print and haven't been scanned for whatever reason.
Also, kids need to learn that people say all kinds of crap to get people to buy stuff. Chances are, Satoshi Tajiri was like, "Uh, yeah. This is cool. *stamp*" I highly doubt a recent quote would make any difference because either way, he said it because he gets paid whenever people buy it.
2. "Your mom" is one of those random inside jokes at Smith. XD And I constantly forget it's just an inside joke at Smith.
