Gentleman Walter with my level 100 Smeargle with Amulet Coin, Happy Hour, PayDay gets you 60,000 pokedollars per battle plus whatever you get from using Payday on top of that.
I'm recently doing the same thing, but I've expanded my target to hidden bases. Why? because your team automatically gets healed up from every battle conducted there. Although you get a meager amount of money from the trainer NPCs(4000-5000), you could still get yourself around 400,000 pokedollars through the alternating use of payday and healing pulse. Even better, try to find a friend's hidden base who uses dittos or a similar smeargle as you because you could get additional money from your opponent's payday as well. Just how I like it, my victims throwing more money at me :).

A little hint as far as using the Amulet Coin - you don't get it until much later in the game, but the Luck Incense you can buy in Slateport City when you first arrive there does the exact same thing. Just saying!

Other than what I just mentioned, I usually keep a Zigzagoon/Linoone on me until about the 3rd or 4th gym, and by then I usually do so much grinding or DexNav hunting that I've picked up quite a few items from the Pick Up ability, so I have quite a bit of stuff to sell whenever I stop by Poké Marts. Also early in the game, I rechallenge a lot of trainers from the rich boy class or whatever it's officially called lol.

Post-story though, it's really easy to make money by rechallenging the Pokémon League with an Amulet Coin or Luck Incense and the money O-power activated.

There are multitudes of ways to make money in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the most popular method being Prize Money O-Power/Amulet Coin E4 farming (among others). How did you make money in these games? Do you feel money farming is more difficult in OR/AS than it was in X/Y?

Are you a psychic type? Because I just thought the exact same thing! In x and y getting money was a breeze! The "fancy restaurants" in Lumiose city were so convenient! I could train my Pokemon, level them up quickly and make a profit while doing it! I have made millions of dollars just from the restaurants alone! Now ORAS is a completely different story. A bit after I beat the elite four, I bought a ton of stuff to decorate my secret base... and ended up spending a good chunk of it. That's when I literally traveled all over Hoenn with my dowsing machine to find buried treasure. It still wasn't enough though! I had to start limiting my supplies including pokeballs. Then I resorted to battling for money lol. So yeah I think it is definitely harder to obtain money in ORAS. I honestly think that The casino in Mauville City should have been turned in to a Lumiose style restaurant instead of not doing anything with it. (Their goal was to make Mauville city more like Lumiose city, right?)

Personally I never really thought about making money too much because I was a light spender in the games; all I bought were Pokeballs, and a few potions, while the rest I just left it up to battling! Well, when I went to the abandoned ship to get those nuggets, that's where things started going uphill. xD
