Battle Bash
Battle Bash is a tournament where players get points for battling other PokéCommunity members on Pokémon Showdown. Any type of 6v6 or 4v4 battles are welcome, including Fortune Cup battles! All you have to do is make a post to sign up, include your Showdown usernames, and report your battles in this thread (preferably as replays). Add yourself to the "Battlers" role in PokéCommunity's Discord server to get pinged when people want to battle. You can find people to battle by either posting in this thread or pinging everyone yourself (send a Discord message with @Battlers).
Showcased Formats
There are showcased formats every 3 days. If you battle in the showcased format, you will get an extra 30% bonus in points. The showcased format changes at exactly midnight (EDT / GMT -4).
October 9th - 11th: Gen 8 Random Battle
October 12th - 14th: Gen 8 OU
October 15th - 17th: Gen 8 Monotype
October 18th - 20th: BDSP OU
October 21st - 23rd: Little Cup
Suggest any formats you'd like to see for the last two, and I'll make a poll.
Points Breakdown
3v3 and 1v1 battles are disallowed because it would complicate the points breakdown.
Battles with the opposing Get-Together team
60 per win / 30 per loss
Battles with the same Get-Together team
30 per win / 15 per loss
To incentivize team-building formats and reward time spent making teams, random battles receive a 30% reduction in points. In the interest of being as fair as possible, decimal values are not rounded or truncated.
Live Tournaments
I'll occasionally try hosting live elimination tournaments on PokéCommunity's Discord server, usually during the weekends in my time zone (EDT / GMT -4). Any battles done for these tournaments receive a 30% bonus. Add yourself to the "Battlers" role to get pinged when these tournaments occur. Feel free to send me a message if you want a live tournament at a particular time.
