Take a moment to think about what your life would be like if the internet ceased to exist. Would you be one of those people who freak out? Or would you be happy it's gone and just get on with your life?

For me, I'd probably freak out. The reason is because I don't have many friends in real life. I don't like to get out much because of my severe anxiety and other issues. It'd be a huge impact on my routine because the internet revolves around that. D:

    So, how about you?

Like just, all of the sudden disappeared, unable to be remade from scratch, or are we just talking about a timeline where it never existed in the first place?

If the former, then I would probably have the same reaction, as I only have one offline friend. Sad, I know.

^exactly! and that also means we would lose contact with the world, as well as all the friends we've met through here. That'd be...horrific.

However, that wouldn't be the case if you have my number though!

Without its existence I'd likely not be so stuck into globalized human interaction to begin with. I'd likely take to living in rurality with no such modernized networks similar to internet (television, phone, etc) and be content in that until I die.

I've went without the internet long enough at one point to realize I'm not dependent on it. It is a drug; after withdrawal I see light in things without its existence or dependence. :)

I'd have to actually go outside, and see people, and the sun, and live life. Absolutely terrifying. But I'd welcome not having internet because a lot of retarded internet trends would stop and a lot of people wouldn't be as dumb and I wouldn't be annoyed everytime I got on facebook because there's no such thing.

I would focus my mind on other, more important passions of mine, because believe it or not, I'm not all about the Internet.

most of the people i know i have met without the internet so that wouldnt be much different for me. if anything i would just watch more tv and do more stuff outside. but if it did happen i would probably cry because i watch a lot of youtube and like to play games online.

Life would be pretty boring, I'll tell you that. I'd have a considerably less amount of friends, and I'd probably have to step outside a lot more than I want to.

    Sun no likey Mari.

But hey, no horrible memes. Not saying all of them are bad, but some of them are just...way too popular and annoying.

I would probably shrivel up and die. My internet is pretty crappy anyway, but with what little of the internet I actually get to use, I like it too much to let it go.

I'll be sad because most of my friends are from the internet, and I might want to know if there is another way to connect to my friends besides from internet. If not, I'm not sure anymore.

It would be nice to see people's faces rather than all their necks cranned at 45 degrees into the glow of a screen.

I'd say such an apocalypse would be refreshing, even invigorating. When I did the #unplug campaign, it was beautiful.

I wouldn't say that I'll be freaked out. Well, I lived well without any internet as a kid (I'm 18 this year) and I'm sure after some time I'll get used to it.

Not sure about those who are younger though. As I take a bus or train ride these days I'm seeing primary 2 kids carrying their iPhone 5s playing games over 4G LTE. It worries me, to be honest.

It's really no different than when we were kids and we were all up on our gameboys playing pokemon lol.

If it never existed in the first place, probably my life will be the same as the days when I was young.
BUT if it disappears all in the sudden,it will be different case...I will lose friends I met here and some important person in my life,it's the saddest thing. But I believe it won't affects too much (in my opinion),probably :P

That's true, but at least the gameboy didn't require an internet connection. I remembered in the past when those link cables forced actual socialisation.

I cannot imagine today's children if the internet were suddenly gone.

Thinking about it, I doubt a world without internet would affect me all that badly. Sure, i'd miss speaking to some of the people I speak to online, but I don't have a huge circle of online friends to begin with.

I don't need the internet for my work, I rarely check my emails and my inbox is always full of guff anyway; i'm not an online gamer; i've not used Facebook in years and I don't have a Twitter, Tumblr, anything like that; and I dare say I could survive without things like YouTube.

Quite honestly the only things i'd miss would be music streaming and porn, both of which are available offline.
