  • Finished The Beta ^__^ This Are The Problems I've Encountered(I Think)
    - I Think Using Old Rod Is Useless ATM, Couz All Waters Don't Have Pokemons Except On The South Of Reliquia Ruins, But All I Can Hook Are "??????????"
    - The Move Shadow Sneak Restarts The Game.
    - Aerlic Poke Center And Foot Of Ignis Mountain's Nurse Doesn't Have Their "Nurse" Name Before Their Dialogues.
    - Cliffside Forests Shaman Healer Has An Over World Sprite Of An Old Man, While His In Battle Sprite Is A Psychic. Is That Intentional?
    - The Black Belter Gives Me A Charcoal And I Can Get Another On The Stump His Facing At. Is That Intentional Too?
That's All, And Are You British Or European Or Something? Couz You Spell "Realize" As "Realise" In One Of The Psychics In Emerald Cavern.

Got Myself A Good Game By The Way :-)

Nope! You're supposed to be able to defeat him.

    Fixed!
    - The Move Shadow Sneak Restarts The Game.
Should be fixed, though I haven't tested it.
    - Aerlic Poke Center And Foot Of Ignis Mountain's Nurse Doesn't Have Their "Nurse" Name Before Their Dialogues.
    Fixed.
    - Cliffside Forests Shaman Healer Has An Over World Sprite Of An Old Man, While His In Battle Sprite Is A Psychic. Is That Intentional?
It's is intentional, in that when I get around to creating custom sprites for the Shaman it'll look like a mix of the Psychics and Gamers / Old Men.
    - The Black Belter Gives Me A Charcoal And I Can Get Another On The Stump His Facing At. Is That Intentional Too?
It is intentional but I've moved the Charcoal to a different stump so it's isn't as jarring.

I am British, although for consistency reasons I have been trying to stick with American English; on second viewing I've slipped back into British English quite a lot (realise being one of the examples), so I will have to go through and fix that for consistency reasons at some point. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

That's not a bug. That's intentional. It gets annoying when you hear it all the time so he removed it
Nice job Terra! As Shinoya said, this is somewhat intentional, although I kind of botched the removal: I originally intended to emulate how Gen. 6 handles the beeping, but I ended up just removing it and preferring that in the end.

    @Spherical Ice.

Have you made up how long beta 2 will be? Another gym or longer?
Beta 1 ends pretty near to the second gym, so I will probably make Beta 2 three or four gyms long (not that that is the best way to indicate game length at this point). But yeah, there should be substantially more content in Beta 2 (although I guess I can't make any promises)!

You can redownload and repatch a clean FireRed ROM to see the latest changes / bug-fixes (old saves will remain usable, as usual)!

Ah, So You Have A Custom Sprite For The Shaman, Couz I Think Its Some Kind Of Strange That His Over World Sprite Is An Old Man While In Battle He Looks Like A Teenager.

Oh, And On That Level 80 Meganium. Your Right Its Beatable But IMO, Its Not A Good Idea Putting It. Couz It'll Do A Major Boost Up. I End Up Killing It With My Level 24 Monferno While My Remaining Team Are Dead. It Beefed Up Monferno To Level 28. Luckily You Didn't Give Away Lucky Egg Early In Game.

You're misunderstanding what Ice is saying. The Level 80 Meganium was an oversight, not something intentional. As Ice said, that trainer is supposed to be beatable, so the Level 80 Meganium doesn't make sense there. That being said though, that's pretty impressive, beating a level 80 Pokemon with a level 24 Monferno.
@Spherical Ice: The beta is looking pretty good! I'll be reviewing this hack, along with Fluorite, on the Nuzlocke Forums when I get the chance, so I'll give you my full review later on. Looks like I'll be enjoying myself with a hack for a change.

  • Absolutely loving the beta Spherical!

Does some great fixes and improvements from what I noticed before when addings the abilities.
Still got a few suggestions and finds though!

    Spoiler:

I haven't completed my second run through of it just yet, so I'll add more thoughts to this later.

When I took on the Shaman in the Cliffside Forest, he used a revival herb when he was down to his final Pokemon (Liepard). I took out Liepard on the same turn and the battle ended. Even though he used the revival herb, it didn't seem to revive any of his Pokemon.

As far as I know, trainer NPCs can't seem to revive any of their PKMN, even if you give them reviving items. :/

I've changed his sprite to the Expert sprite for now as it makes more sense.

Thanks! I look forward to seeing that review!

Is it intentional? I get EXP from catching a pokemon
    Yes!

    Absolutely loving the beta Spherical!
    Thank you!

When receiving the Scope Lens from the lady it says Player received the SCOPELENS
When you rescue Weedie the text glitches a bit, it says aga......--.--
I'd change up the camper that has a Starly, Zigzagoon, Dwebble and Woobat. Personally I don't think Dwebble and Woobat seem very campy, I'd suggest putting in Bunnelby here (if you choose to add it) or Bidoof.
When you get to the cave and the rival tells you to come, there isn't any overworld sprite.
    All fixed!

I personally would prevent the player from leaving Redwood's house in Phoena city, maybe have him yell, "Wait Player, at which point you could walk back and he tells you to go to Phoena tunnel.
While on the topic of this idea, I wouldn't have them both just disappear, I'd like to see them both walk out, it just seems like better continuity. Also as I mentioned before I'd consider moving the rival battle over here, just because using Piplup you get absolutely destroyed by the rival's Turtwig on most occasions before level 6 or 7.
I haven't changed this yet, but I agree with you and will probably get around to doing it sometime.

I'd take out Spearow (there's a trainer with a spearow), there are more than enough Normal/Flying birds Taillow, Hoothoot, Starly etc. I'd replace it with something like Bunnelby, just to have some more Gen VI pokemon. Also as I said before a digging Rabbit seems perfect for the archaelogical theme.
Done! Bunnelby is now on a few Trainers' teams and is available in Celanto Path.

The camper that's disguised as a tree, becomes a ninja at the end of the battle.
Fixed, I changed him to a Ninja Boy instead.

The Smeargles in the art gallery are very difficult to beat without Monferno or Machop Especially the Grandmaster who has level 20 ones. I'd consider increasing Machops availability in Phoena tunnel to make this easier, as well as scaling down their levels a bit. Also the one with Outrage, Thrash and Petal Dance is absolutely overpowered, they do an incredible amount of damage (120 base power moves are a bit extreme at this point in the game)
I have changed the Outrage one, and slightly adjusted some things, but I'm going to keep the rarity of Machop the same: Makuhita is also available in most floors of Phoena Tunnel and is rather common, plus I don't want to make the Museum too easy and I think it's an adequate challenge as it is now.

When I took on the Shaman in the Cliffside Forest, he used a revival herb when he was down to his final Pokemon (Liepard). I took out Liepard on the same turn and the battle ended. Even though he used the revival herb, it didn't seem to revive any of his Pokemon.
Ah, nice catch. I've removed his Revival Herb.

started playing and enjoying for the moment. nice hack
    Thanks!

If you redownload the above fixes will be available: I've also slightly remapped Cliffside Forest so if you're save is in that map, you should first move out (I recommend going to the Pokémon Center at the Foot of Mt. Ignis to be absolutely safe), save, and then redownload and repatch before continuing. Otherwise, saves should be compatible.
