Pokemon Tarnished Beta (on my linktree)
Please note that this is my first game and there are still bugs about. Save often!
Limgrave, up until the first 'gym leader' Godrick is live for public testing!!
I'm using Pokemon Essentials on RPGMaker. Art is my own, either completely original or edits of original Pokemon Sprites. I'm using the Elden Rign art for part of the start screen.
look at this regional diglett, how can you not want this ridiculous fool on your team? There's also Ritumori, the Fakemon based on the Death Rite bird and the 3rd evolution of the Vullaby starter.
Ex. first quest will be to collect 3 zubat, which the Pokemon professor will graft into… this
Some bosses will have unique Eldenmon that can't be found or made elsewhere, other bosses will be their own "ace" and join the fight
After defeating them, you can claim the Spirit Ashes of the final boss (Eldenmon or Boss)
Spirit Ashes must be leveled up through an NPC, Rodericka, to prevent them from being overpowered and discourage a team of only Ashes
**This feature is not live in the current beta but is still planned for the game as a whole

Unique Elements
- A pseudo-open world with optional exploration
- Grafted Pokemon, Spirit Ashes, and numerous regional Pokemon
- Higher difficulty than a traditional game, though less punishing than a typical Souls-like
- "Gym leaders" are bosses from the game with themed gyms instead of type-based
Plot
8 Lords who have taken fragments of the Elden Rune, tearing the Lands Between asunder. You awaken, Tarnished, with only Melina and Torrent for help - and a poor Pokemon professor who is very out of her depth. Yet with the guidance of grace and your Pokemon skills, you may be able to defeat the Lords, claim their shards, and restore the Elden Ring - or watch let the world burn, if you prefer. Choices matter, with 3 endings currently planned.The World
- Creating by area (Limgrave, Liurnia, Caelid, etc)
- 3-5 routes per area
- Optional routes and areas
- Ex for Limgrave, there are only 3 or 4 'required' areas to get to Godrick. Additional areas, like the Weeping Peninsula, Castle Morne, even Church of Elleh are optional areas. Then, in the areas themselves, there are optional tangents to explore - like a crypt in route 1 with an optional mini boss
- Torrent is your 'bike,' granting a quick way to travel from the start of the game (Not a fighting Pokemon, can't be used in battle)
Pokemon
- There are some normal Pokemon pulled from all 9 generations
- There are a LOT of 'regional' Pokemon/Eldenmon, with Pokemon fused with Elden Ring monsters (such as the above Poliwhirl Basilisk)
- Changes to the Pokemon may also affect typing
- Ex armored Rapidash is fire/steel, Bulbasaur is grass/electric (holy)

NPCs
- Features most of the NPCs from Elden Ring, plus some new ones
- Each NPC has custom art
- Full body sprites for battles, shop menus, etc
- Dialogue will mostly be by choice
- Once they give you the bare minimum to proceed, you can end the conversation
- Option to ask more for information, hints (esp for the non elden ring players), easter eggs, hidden jokes
Bosses
- Some will have multiple phases, meaning they can exceed a team of 6
- Each ace Pokemon will be completely unique and unavailable anywhere else
- Boss teams will be based on theme, not typing (lunar queen Rennala will have Lunatone, Umbreon, Musharna, etc.)
Pokemon Centers Gone
- Sites of Grace + Melina will take over Pokemon Centers for healing and act as fly points** There are not fly points currently since it's only through the first 'gym'
- Melina, your guide, will stand by Grace and can heal your Pokemon
- As you 'collect' NPCs, many will move to the Roundtable - Roundtable is not in current version but still planned for full game
- Others, like Miriel, will stay where they are but will be right next to a site of Grace for easy access
