[Other] Pokemon's Evolution is cancelled right away...

Ok so I am making a ROM hack and I've changed to the starters to be Larvitar, Dratini and Bagon. When I play through it to test something I just pick Larvitar. I made it so they evolve much earlier than they do (like Level 18). But while it evolves, it stops and then the text just reads the following: 'Huh?' I don't know what I did wrong, I don't press any buttons while I let it evolve. I'm using the Program 'Gen III Suite' to change the evolutions and A-Starter to change the starters. I am a little bit worried because I've changed a few Pokes to gen 4/5/6 mons and they had their evo's changed so I think the same will happen to them. Any advice?

Pokemon in FireRed are prevented from evolving into non-Kanto Pokemon until you get the National Dex. This prevents people from having Pokemon like Golbat or Chansey evolve into new Pokemon that weren't present in the original R/B/Y before finishing the base game. To disable this feature in your hack you need to activate the National Pokedex by using the script command 'special 0x16F'.
